Room with a View

The house had everything we needed. Perfect size for the 3 couples that stayed. Beautiful view from the deck, great place to have your morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. We even saw Eagles fly by, hence the name. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook with. Great beach access. Could not of asked for more. We were so busy crabbing, getting oysters, muscles and steamers we didnt even get to use the fireplace on the deck but were able to enjoy our awesome bounty for dinner with a view to die for. It was so relazing and welcoming. I would highly reccomend this place. A very fair reasonable price. The owners were awesome to correspond with. I would not hesitate to stay again. A weekend just did not seem long enough. The loft upstairs was great. I so enjoyed waking up to the sun coming through the windows. So glad we found this Gem of a hideaway.

Perfect spot for a relaxing weekend away!

  • 5 of 5

I came here for a Mom's Weekend with a few of my friends, and the house was perfect for our needs. We enjoyed evenings by the fire watching movies, mornings sipping coffee on the deck and admiring the views, and afternoons reading books or playing games at the dining room table and listening to the fantastic collection of music. FYI - it's a steep walk down to the water's edge, and you can't really see the shoreline from the house. Bonus: we found a little grocer to the north that had fresh local produce, which was a pleasant surprise! The owner was very easy to work with and answered all of our questions. I will definitely be back, both with friends, and with family.

Peace and Quiet

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at the Eagle's Nest on our annual clamming trip and had a wonderful time. The property allowed us the conveniences of home while still getting away. The cabin is right on the beach and the kids loved swimming, looking for shells and starfish during low tide, and playing with the little crabs. The adults loved cooking, watching movies, enjoying the view and playing games such as cards and scrabble. The owners are very friendly and professional. The property is clean, stocked with just about anything you would need for a short stay and very affordable.

Wonderful Place to Stay!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first trip to the Olympic peninsula and our stay was enhanced by having this great place to call home for a few days. We spent our time hiking, first to the summit of Mt. Townsend, then to Marmot Pass. Excellent, but strenuous, hikes. We did need a rest day in between, but that was no problem because the house was a great place to just hang out and rest. We played board games, spent time on the little beach, sat on the deck and looked out over the canal, watched the birds, etc. We wish we had spent more time at this location.

The house was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils/pots/pans etc. needed for cooking with a selection of cookbooks as well. I appreciated the very helpful notebook with information about the area and instructions for the appliances. My son loved the assortment of games. He had us playing Risk until way past our usual bedtimes!

There is a staircase down to the beach which might be a concern for those with very small children or with a physical disability that makes stairs a challenge. We had no problems with it, but it might be something for others to consider. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this house for a family vacation. I hope we can spend time here again someday!

Wonderful place to stay!!!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Eagle's Nest Cabin for a week on our family vacation. I would highly recommend this cabin if you are looking for a quiet place to spend time with your loved ones. My kids (ages 15 and 10) loved the short walk to the water where they could look for crabs and other sea creatures. I loved the fact that there was a TV to watch movies but no cable/satelite........lots of board games to play though (many laughs and great memories)! My husband loved the numerous hiking trails in the area and the clam digging. Another great feature was the nice sized deck over looking the Hood Canal where a sea otter kept us entertained for most of the week! If you are looking for a nice, clean and comfortable place to stay by yourself or with your family, the Eagle's Nest is the place for you!!!

Oysterfest

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay at Eagle's Nest and we hope to make it an annual event. We LOVE the abundant shellfish literally at our doorstep. We went oystering, clamming and this year we even crabbed from the beach on the property in a kayak! The place is beautiful, clean and well equipped. We enjoyed the grill and the fireplace on the deck. There are many places to hike nearby and close to Port Townsend and Sequim for day trips. The owners are accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. We have recommended this place to friends and family.
