This three storey house is just 3kms south of Gennadi with a long garden leading from a large patio with a pergola for shade directly onto a wide, secluded beach with spectacular views. There are sea-view balconies to every room with the studio apartment having 2 very large ones, one with a bamboo-topped pergola for shade, with a 300 degree panorama of the sea and surrounding countryside. A substantial paved area to the front and side of the house will contain several cars. Gennadi can be reached by walking either along a pleasant country road or along the wide, quiet beach. The whole area has retained its Greek identity with subtle tourism. It is perfect for hill-walking, cycling and for those who like the countryside, with tourist facilities close by in Pefkos and Lindos.
Both apartments are accessed through a door at the front of the house and are suitable for children. The marble stairs are wide with handrails. The bedrooms of the Poseidon apartment are directly accessible from the front door which has steps leading up to it. The whole property has electric heating/air-conditioning. There is a TV to both apartments for playing videos and DVDs and with OTE satellite TV.
Poseidon will definitely have internet access from April 2012 and the studio should have it if we can install a second router in April.
With protection of the environment in mind, towels and linen are changed once during a 2-week stay. A full clean is done at the same time. Renters can arrange further changes and cleaning with the housekeeper at their own cost.
Gennadi is well appointed for post office, supermarkets, bakery, cafes, bars, wi-fi cafes and tavernas. A Bureau de Change is also available in high season. Further facilities are available in Kiotari and the pretty village of Lardos (13kms). All of these are accessible by bus from Gennadi.
Turkey and various Greek islands including Symi and Karpathos are easily accessible on a daily basis. Other sailing activities are available on the island.
There are theme parks and the unique Valley of the Butterflies within 45 mins by car. Rhodes Old Town is a World Heritage Site.
Non-refundable deposit of 30% is required on booking and full payment 8 weeks before arrival date. Full payment must be made when booking less than 8 weeks before. Breakages and excessive cleaning deposit of £100 required by cheque and returned if the property is vacated in good condition.
