If you are a golf and tennis fanatic, this place is heaven! Not only has the resort have 24 tennis courts, it also has 9 exclusive PGA golf courses you can choose from. The Dune Course is a 5 min drive and the tennis courts are literally few steps away from the property. If you are not into these sports then you can enjoy the facilities the resort can offer, gym, yoga, spa, restaurants and bars. Our tennis villa is in a gated community and is in the same property as the renowned La Quinta Resort and Spa. For more resort info check the website of La Quinta Resort and Spa.
Our property is a 2 story townhouse interior designed with an Asian touch that blends with the colors of the dessert and the mountains. The first floor has the 2 bedrooms which sleeps 6 (one King and 2 double beds). The second floor has the living, with balcony, patio, powder room, dining and kitchen. The balcony faces 5 beautiful clay courts and the Santa Rosa mountain. Our property is inside the La Quinta Resort and Spa which is known as the Grand Dame of the desert and has a world class spa, restaurants and shops. It is right next to a pool and 10 steps away from the tennis courts and fitness centre.
A 2.5 hour drive from LAX on I 10 East (Exit Washington and Right on Eishenhower), it's a vacation destination you will truly enjoy.

We stayed in the Tennis Villas. The staff that greeted us was super nice and hassle free. We looked out over clay courts with a short walk to the pool. There was beautiful landscaping and views of the mountains. Highly recommend staying here if you play tennis. The condo was large and roomy.
Perhaps I have high standards, but this condo was not well appointed, not well decorated, and most of all, not comfortable! The beds were truly horrible, sheets were cheap polyester, bedding was worn and had holes in it. Kitchen had mismatched, poor quality dishes and utensils. All decor was cheap, and while Asian inspired can be quite nice, this was hokey. It is clear that this was furnished as a rental property by owners that are far away and rarely use, or care for the property. The bathrooms were greatly in need of remodeling, as was the kitchen.
The owner did call me from Asia after I complained to the rental agency (this property is advertised on VRBO, but you will be actually renting through a rental agency and paying the fees associated with that.) The owner offered to reimburse me for the pillows and the mattress pads I went out to buy to try to improve the comfort of the place, but still, this was a few days into our stay, but this did not make up for the time and discomfort caused by the poor accommodations. I would recommend finding another property at the tennis villas!
Great stay at a terrific property

The townhome is exactly as you see it in the pictures; it's in great condition and is fully-stocked from the bedrooms downstairs to the kitchen and living room upstairs. Both decks are upstairs; one overlooks the clay tennis courts while the other one has a couple of chaise lounges and a barbecue. We used the deck overlooking the courts more than the other one just because it had better sunlight.
The location of the townhome is great. A pool and hottub are steps away from the unit. A nice exercise facility is also steps away. You're surrounded by tennis courts and the La Quinta Spa is maybe a two-minute walk away. Getting to the main part of the resort (restaurants/shops) from the townhome is maybe a 5 minute walk. I thought it might be a bit longer but it's not and it's a great walk because you're making your way through the lovely grounds at the Spa Villas and then the casitas as you get closer to the center of the resort.
We headed down to Old Town for some shopping and dining. That's about a five minute drive from the condo - very closeby. And I have to recommend the hiking at the top of La Quinta Cove, which is probably a ten minute easy drive from the townhouse.
Check-in and check-out was made easy, thanks to Kenny at Dry Heat Resorts. No issues at all getting through the security gate and into the townhouse.
Overall, we thought the townhouse was great. It had everything and more than what we needed. And the location was great, both to enjoy the resort as well as to venture into town. This was our first vacation rental and we would definitely consider renting there again.

Excellent location and value! We had family staying at the resort and we were closer to the main pool than they were!

Great stay at La Quinta Tennis Villas

I stayed here with two other couples for Coachella and was very happy with the villa.
It had two large bedrooms on the ground floor, each with an ensuite and a very large upper level with a kitchen, dining area and living room
