In the heart of Rome, this third floor apartment is in a 1800s historic building, just steps away and with a stunning view of the Colosseum and some of the most famous Roman monuments. Recently renovated three bed two bathrooms plus lofts, it is fully furnished with 1 queen bed, 2 twins and a double sofa bed (accommodates 6). New appliances in the kitchen, air conditioning and heating system, telephone and television.American coffee maker and Italian espresso coffee maker.
Restaurants and coffee shops conveniently located all around the building; walking distance to historical landmarks (such as the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and the Pantheon) and to Rome's most exclusive shopping areas (Via del Corso, Via Veneto, Via del Babuino). Public transportation, such as subway and city buses, is also right around the corner and will take you in just a few minutes to any area of down town and to the most notorious Romans attractions across the city.
I can't say enough good things about this apartment! Location, location, location!!!! You walk out the front door and your are at the Colosseum! I would recommend this to anyone!
I can't rate this apartment high enough! We went to Rome for my son's sixth birthday; however, work and a family issue forced us to push back our trip by a day. Alessandro and his father accommodated our change immediately and without any extra charge, allowing us to check in and out a day later then we reserved. Alessandro accommodated our arrival schedule, met us at the apartment, and helped us carry our bags in. He was great and welcoming. The location of the apartment is unbelievable - right across from the colosseum and a short walk to the Roman forum. The taxi stand and ATM machine outside the front door were added bonuses. We travelled with our two children, ages 6 and 4, and the apartment worked well for them. They had their own sleeping spaces, enjoyed the DVD player, and we all had plenty of room to unwind. A great stay and would stay there again. The only caveat would be if your family had accessibility issues. There are many stairs to get to the apartment. While we were all able to navigate the stairs with no problems, to include my four year old, someone with mobility issues would likely struggle. Overall, for us, it was an outstanding stay.
What a great apartment for our family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers girls - I just wish they could have carried my bag up the stairs as well as theirs! The place has everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable.
Alessandro met us when we arrived from the airport and helped with our quite heavy bags. He gave us a quick tour of the casa and the name of a lovely trattoria around the corner ( Luzzi ) and wished us well.
We've had a great stay here and would recommend it to anyone who can climb a few stairs- you have to in Rome anyway!
This apartment is so conveniently located that we regret we did not have more time in Rome. It is situated directly across the street from the Ancient Rome attractions, with taxis out front any time of day, and the subway just a short walk to go further afield, such as to the Vatican. The apartment is moderately priced and simply furnished (not luxurious), but equipped with all the basic necessities. There are restaurants and a market just a few steps from the apartment. The owner was extremely pleasant to deal with and very accommodating throughout the process. We were a group of five women (ages 19-64), so the number of beds and baths were ideal. We took the subway to the Historic City Center, but walked all the way back with no problem. It is a historic building so there is no lift, but the steps one reviewer complained about are shallow and easily climbed by a person of average health and mobility. We would definitely try to rent this apartment if we come to Rome again.
You could not ask for a better location if you want visit Rome. Good internet, lots of sleeping room, and bathrooms were excellent. We highly recommend this location to anyone who wants to visit Rome
We are a family with 3 children (under 12 years old) and we spent a week in Rome and enjoyed the appartment very much. It's location is perfect, Colosseum is just outside the door. A couple of steps away, there is a bus and tram-stop and a metrostation which makes it easy to transport in and outside Rome. We visited the beach of Lido and it was easy to get there. Just outside the building there is a taxistation and nearby a ticket office for public transports. The cost of going to the airport with taxi was the same as if we should go by public transport.
The flat was suiteble for us, several bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. We appreciated the free wifi, the washing machine and the coffee maker (american coffee). The flat has air condition that functions well, good to know if you travel in the summer times. Just around the corner there is a Carrefour express (grocery store) where we did our shopping.
The host met us at arrival and friendly showed us the appartment and he was easy to contact. We would recommend the appartment to friends and family. Thank you!
All around the apartment you will find some amazing sightseeing all within walking distance and some of them hidden from the 'touristic path' such as the Domus Aurea, Abbazia di San Clemente, Santo Stefano Rotondo., I santissimi Quattro Coronati, Villa Celimontana (an amazing villa open at night in summer time with 2 restaurants facing the stage where the best jazz concert in town) You will eat listening to excellent music and see the Romans ruins .
