Have you ever been to a place at night where the stars were so close you felt like you could reach out and touch them? Where you can wake up to the sounds of a running mountain river? If you're lucky you just might see a great Bald Eagle swoop down from the cliffs. Well, if you want to go some place where nature, quiet, and privacy is important then you've got to visit the Little Red Tree House on the beautiful Little Red River, near Heber Springs, Ar. Located in the exclusive Wildflower Subdivision nestled up against the cliffs of the Spring Mountains with our own natural 50 acre lake in our front yard.
Just think, your own 8 acres and over 200 yards of riverfront. Our dock ,w/ light, sits on a hole over 30' deep for pole fishing. We are also 25 yards up river from the famous Libby Shoals, which is absolutely fantastic for fly-fishing.
If the river is running or the Trout aren't biting, then you can jump in our boat at the lake with our trolling motor and catch all the Bass or Brim you could ever want.
The Little Red River is 32 miles of world-class trout stream and home of the world record German Brown Trout (40 lb 4 oz). Four species of trout can be caught - Rainbows, Browns, Cut-throats and Brookies. At the Little Red, you can fly-fish, use artificial lures or live bait. Drive about ten minutes and you are at Greers Ferry Lake. This clean, clear-water 40,000 acre lake is home of the world record Walleye (22 lb 11 oz) and Hybrid Striped Bass (27 lb 5 oz).
The lake also serves as a playground for all kinds of water sports. Eighteen parks around the shoreline provide modern campgrounds, boat launches, swim areas and marinas.

Place was perfect except for all the rain. Guess u can't blame owners for that
Having stayed at most of the houses on the Little Red over the last 5 or 6 years I have to say again that this place is the best. Only reason we don't always stay here is because it is booked so often. Fishing is awesome from the dock and after pulling in trout all day the hot tub is incredible.
Thanks Suzie and Mike for allowing the Little Red Treehouse to be rented. It is the perfect getaway.
Our family of four, two adults and two twenties, had a great time! Caught trout from the dock, caught pan fish from the pond, hiked, and just relaxed on the porch. Made dinner and breakfast every day in the well-stocked kitchen. Local people were very friendly. Beautiful property and plenty of land around it to take walks every day.
For selfish reasons I hate to share this information with the world but, this place is PERFECT! We booked over the weekend for a quiet romantic getaway. This was ideal and everything We were looking for. An added perk of no city lights and if there are neighbors we never saw them. Some of our favorite parts were the cozy feel of the living room with panoramic views of the patio/river, drinking coffee on the boat dock to while watching the sunrise on the water, the fishermen, and the fog literally rolling in, and our early morning jogs in the quiet wooded neighborhood. We were able to stock up on groceries and cook out on the grill every night and enjoy our wine on the porch hot tub. We were able to bring our dogs which was a huge plus. They enjoyed the porch and the massive front yard. We rented a pontoon from the dam site marina which allowed us to watch the sunset from the lake. This was also a highlight! Overall this was a fantastic trip. We will be back next year!!
Great secluded location, neat house on the river. Short drive to Greers Ferry, fun fishing from the dock, and plenty to do for everyone. Will definitely come back.
Spent a great spring break here. The house has everything you could possibly need or think of. Great location on the river with lots of fishing from the dock or wading the river. Hot tub at the end of the day was divine! Our family was already talking about going back before we even got home.
