This apartment, freshly renovated, is much more spacious than the average studio in Paris: 350 square foot. A whole family up to four guests wouldn't feel tight.
Location, Marais district : rue du Vertbois. Unlike some other areas in Paris, you won't have to run more than few meters to buy your groceries or find interesting shops and a wide range of newly open and old gourmet restaurants.
3 metro stations and 5 metro lines close 3 or 4 minutes from front door will take you anywhere in Paris.
You can walk to Centre Georges Pompidou or Museum Picasso in less than 10 minutes.
The apartment is located on the first floor (one floor up from street level).
3 large windows on a courtyard , no street noise!
In the separate kitchen: everything you need to cook.
The studio is fitted with a queen size bed in a alcove and a convertible sofa. All linens and towels are supplied also an ironboard and a hairdryer.
There is a cable television, a portable radio/CD player,
WiFi Internet access and free national and international telephone calls
I have always been a parisian and yet a traveler discovering Paris.I find very stimulant to host different people from different areas in the world, different style and different interest with their voyage.
renting this place keep me curious...
claude tixier purchased this studio in 2003
Le Marais and those ancient houses and palates, lively caffes, restaurants and abundant shops of all kind has always been my favorite promenade.
Paris is at door step.
I just wanted to thank you for all that you did for us in Paris. Your flat is beautiful, clean, and spacious. The location is perfect from all great spots in the city and very safe. I'm going to give you a nice write up to better your already great reputation on VRBO and have also recommended your place to friends so if I can get you extra business I definitely will. Thank you again and have a wonderful holiday season.

Claude's studio apartment is perfectly situated in Paris. Several Metro stations nearby. The extras one receives in a Paris apartment like this one are significant. Claude's place has cable TV, clothes washer/dryer, microwave, a full kitchen, and for us Americans, HAND TOWELS. These extras easily trump a small tourist-class Paris hotel room. The cost was also cheaper than a three-star Paris hotel. Highly recommend!
My wife and I enjoyed our nine day stay at Claude's studio. The location was perfect for us -- we easily took the Metro to any part of the city, we went out for a fresh baguette every morning, and we were only two blocks from local markets. Having a kitchen was an added convenience and made the studio feel like our home.
Claude and her flat were fantastic! The street is quiet but the location so central! We took the Metro most places, using Strasbourg-St. Denis station and that was fabulous. We had easy access to market (Monop and Carrefour) as well as boulangerie-patisserie (CD) and I walked there early each morning for cafe, croissant, baguette, chocolat chaud for the kids, as well as any other necessities. Any questions I had about the area, Claude answered promptly, even around the Christmas holiday!
Also, easy walks to Marche Montorgueil and Marche des Enfants Rouges, in opposite directions. Le Marais is a fabulous neighborhood to explore. Its a bit of a hike to the Hotel de Ville and Ile de la Cite, but we did that as well...with the obligatory detour to explore Ile Saint Louis and ice cream at Berthillon!
We felt right at home in this flat, doing laundry, sometimes just staying in with some tasty treasures from whatever marche we were at earlier.
We stayed at Claude's apartment for 5 days with our two boys (aged 7 and 11). Claude was there to welcome us and show us how the washing machine\dryer worked. The studio was much bigger than anticipated and there was plenty of room for us all. We'd advise tenants to read all the information and booklets Claude has in the apartment before making plans, we don't speak French but with Claude's recommendation s and help from friendly locals found the city quite easy to navigate, even with young boys in tow! The Lourve and Notre Dame are each a convenient 10 Euro taxi ride away, and Republique square just a short walk away was always bustling with plenty of good food available. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the apartment as an economical and well located place to stay.
