CHARMING COTTAGE IN STUNNING WATERFRONT SETTING

my husband and i stayed here for 4 days and loved the peaceful location and view across the bay. the weather was sunny and clear for the first three days and we could see mt. baker very clearly. we explored the nearby towns of port angeles [good crafted beers at the gastropub and antique stores if that's your thing], and port townsend [crabcakes to die for at the hudson point cafe on the far side of the dock and great beer at the port townsend brewery]. fort worden was interesting and gave opportunities to hike a ways with incredible ocean views and historical buildings to look at. we had our two dogs along and they settled right in to the house like it was theirs. we loved to watch the birds at low tide in the little inlet...bald eagles, herons, many ducks and geese, and other shore birds all looking for food in the shallow waters. the owners are friendly but not intrusive and provided everything we needed at the house for a comfortable stay. a squall came in the last day we were there and it was cozy sitting in the sun room listening to the rain play on the roof and watching the clouds change colors and shapes across the sea. the photos advertising the cottage and grounds and worded description are very accurate. we will definitely return!
