I stayed two weeks in the Beach Suite. It was beautiful. Very cosy and warm. Debbie, the owner, was great. Everything I needed was there when I arrived. The room was exactly as advertised, clean and very comfortable. It was located at the back of the property, with it's own entrance and on the ground floor. I will stay there all the time, whenever I am back in Toronto. I highly recommend it.
The Beach (or Beaches, as it used to be known) is one of the best areas in Toronto. The beach itself is at most 15-20 minute walk, straight down Victoria Park Ave where you find the Waterworks at the bottom. Try the Green Dragon or Mullins on Kingston Road. Public transport is just outside the front door, a bus to the subway (metro or tube) or the street car at the Bingham Loop will get you downtown in at most 45minutes. There are plenty of pubs and cafes, restaurants between Kingston Road and Queen Street both. Also, some lovely green area walks like Ashbridges Bay, Leslie Street Spit, the Nature Trail on Kingston Road, and of course the Boardwalk.
Definitely, the place to stay!
