Excellent location for experiencing the best Seattle has to offer. Located 1/2 block from beautiful Alki Beach with spectacular views of Puget Sound, sunsets and the Olympic Mountains. Walk to a wide variety of restaurants, pubs and coffee shops. Miles of bicycle lanes and walking paths along water’s edge. Take 12 minute, year-round, King County Water Taxi to downtown Seattle Waterfront and Seahawk, Sounder and Mariner Stadiums. Near bus line, playground and parks. Across street from the Log Cabin Museum and birthplace of Seattle.
Newly furnished beach house. Cute, cozy, convenient, comfortable and clean. Spacious secure storage area for bicycles and beach gear. Relax on patio in summer or by fireplace in winter. Bring laptop for high speed cable Internet connection.

We love Alki Beach, spring, summer, winter and fall!
Nothing compares to morning coffee on the beach at low tide. Love the sounds of fog horns and seagulls. Best place to enjoy the uniqueness of Seattle.
The house was exactly as described and perfectly suited to our needs. Janet was a pleasure to deal with. She met us when we arrived and walked us through the house. The property was very well maintained and spotless. The weather was lovely and the area offers a variety of local restaurants. We tried several and were never disappointed. We took the water taxi over to Seattle and found it to be very convenient and a lot of fun. We would highly recommend this property to couples for a romantic getaway or for adventure seekers. It's a wonderful spot to come home to after exploring the Puget Sound area.
We loved the Location! The home was small, along with the shower. Very cute and cozy and loved the outdoor bistro area. My boyfriend has bad knees so getting in and out of the shower was difficult. We went to use the BBQ and it looked like it had not been cleaned for a while, so we passed. It was nice to be able to walk everywhere and take the free shuttle. Also you can take the water Taxi to the city. Overall it was a nice place.
Loved the home and location. I was a little taken aback because the home sits in between two large rental complexes (not shown in photos), but after the initial shock it was never an issue. The square footage of the home is small but the layout of the rooms is perfect. There were 3 of us (parents and 16 yr old son) staying at the home and I would not recommend this home for 4 adults. The sofa bed was OK for a teenager but I would not want to spend a week sleeping on it. The sleeper sofa is located in the common area, so early waking parents have no option but to go out to the patio for their morning coffee (fine if the weather is good). The convenience of the beach being a very short walk was the highlight of staying in the Alki House. The sun goes down around 9:30 pm in June and the beach was busy and crowded when the weather was good. Great restaurants located close and the free shuttle to the Seattle water ferry was also a plus. The only downside to the house is that the busy stream of beach goers walking past the house can be noisy and disrupt your sleep. The homeowner was awesome and really has everything that you will need for your stay. Loved the fact that there was a full size washer and dryer for our use and gear for the beach.
We just arrived at this adorable little home last night (we are celebrating our one year anniversary) and was greeted by Janet. She was so kind and friendly as she showed us around the home. The home is very clean and modern, and the neighborhood area safe. We woke up this morning to walk to Starbucks which is only two blocks away with a gorgeous view of the beach as soon as we walk out the door. Also, there is a bus at the end of the road that will take us straight the the ferry that heads to downtown (we are doing this tomorrow). There are several restaurants and a shop to rent bikes.... Overall, this home is perfect for a couple's getaway or small family, and Janet is a wonderful, trustworthy person to rent from.
The Alki House was extremely clean, well stocked with the basics, half block walk to the beach and restaurants/bars - it was perfect! I thought it worked really well for two people. The property manager was very accommodating when our arrival plans were continually changed by the airline. We are already planning our return trip!
The Alki Cottage was awesome for my family of four. Kids shared sofa bed - and we had our own room. The location can't be much betterfor Alki - centrally located to the best Alki has to offer - restaurants, coffee, walking/running trail and the beach/water. Fenced in yard adds peace of mind for when kids are outside. Public transportation extremely close and easy - free shuttle to water taxi to downtown Seattle was so great. Bus stop also takesyou up to Admiral for groceries- don't really need to move the car - which you don't want to do anyway during the summer to lose your parking spot. We are totally coming back! Thanks Janet!
