Hi, We had a great time staying in Bearfoot Lodge. I prepared a review, as requested, but couldn't submit it as I don't have an account with HomeAway and do not wish to establish one. I'm happy to provide it to you here if you'd like to make use of it. My review was entitled "Great cabin in a beautiful location" and my rating was 5 stars. We stayed in Bearfoot Lodge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there as it is a lovely cabin in a very nice location with lots of wonderful things to do on the property - not just in town.
The customer-service/communication beforehand was top notch. The photos/video and descriptions given on the website are accurate and really whet your appetite to actually go there and experience the place. The property is very clean and well maintained. We had only a couple of minor issues to contend with but in light of how terrific the cabin is they were only minor nuisances, as I say, rather than major detractors. The cabin was utterly wonderful and these were just minor things that we learned to deal with. I would have given the cabin 4.5 stars but could only choose either 4 or 5 so I have no problem in giving the cabin a 5-star rating
While there, we took in the "Six", "Todd Oliver & Friends", and "Joseph" shows. All of them were very good - "Six" and "Joseph", in particular; they were each exceptional ("Joseph" is out-of-this-world good). The Sight & Sound Theatre, itself, is something to behold... breathtakingly beautiful.
We also visited Silver Dollar City. It was well worth going as we went for 2 days for the price of 1 (expensive if you only go once but reasonable if you go twice for the same price). They especially enjoyed "Outlaw Run", "Wildfire", & "Powder Keg").
Our favorite restaurants included Mel's Hard Luck Diner, Outback Steak, & Grand Country Buffet. We were pleased with the food /atmosphere. The rest of the time we ate at the cabin because that is one of the advantages of staying there - the ability to pick up some groceries at one of the local supermarkets and prepare your own breakfasts/suppers, etc. We used the grill on the deck several times & saved money this way, but did enjoy our meals out as well. We also loved relaxing in the hot tub on the deck at the end of a long day.Overall we greatly enjoyed our time in Branson and highly recommend the Amazing Branson Log Cabins - especially "Bearfoot Lodge", based on its private location at the back of the property. Thanks so much!
