Located across the street from the bay and in the center of town. Enjoy outside moments on your private balcony. In the summer sit on adirondack chairs on the back porch and watch the sun rise over Mt Baker through the trees. Beautiful sunsets and views of the Gulf Islands from the balcony. On clear mornings the snow-capped mountains of Canada peak over the trees surrounding the bay. Beautifully furnished condo with full kitchen, stainless steel appliances and granite counters. High end bathrooms with heated floors, jetted tub in master bath. From the master bedroom fall asleep or wake up to the sound of waves breaking at high tide.

Fun summertime activities and a quiet off season for retreating: long walks and curling up with a good book and your favorite beverage. Sleep with the windows open and breath the fresh air and the quiet of a beachside community. During summer enjoy family activities of digging clams, making sandcastles, flying kites, wading in the shallow tide flats and gathering shells and rocks. Savor beach fires, smores or a bottle of wine and a sunset. Bring your own water 'toys' or rent locally: sailing, windsurfing, kayaking. Easy bicycling for miles and long beach hikes.

Fifty miles to Mt Baker ski area, hiking, climbing and photo ops. Within twenty minutes of great shopping in Bellingham and in historic Fairhaven. Bellingham airport 20 minutes away. International flavor in Vancouver BC is just 35 minutes away. Six miles to the Canadian/US border. Twelve miles to the east is Dutch themed mainstreet Lynden.

Semiahmoo and Loomis Creek golf courses within 10 miles. Great Links course at Birch Bay within walking distance. State park within walking distance and a broad beach and picnic area to accomodate larger groups.

The broad tide flats of Birch Bay encourage beachcombing, clamming, crabbing, eagle watching and moonlight strolls. This is just a perfect get-away any time of year.

Seasonal whale watching and kayak tours within several miles of Birch Bay as well as year round charter fishing.

About The Owner

My wife and I chose Birch Bay after staying at friends' condos and falling in love with the area. It is the 'aahh' factor when rounding the corner and the bay comes into view. Less than 2 hours from Seattle, we enter a relaxed and laid back world, away from the crowds of the metropolitan area, and enjoy a delightful weekend retreat. We love the smell of salt air and the sounds of wave in the bay. Birds and wildlife are right at our feet, as well as hiking and climbing in the mountains an hour away.

Why The Owner chose Birch Bay

The new, contemporary construction, and amazing unobstructed views from this building really appealed to the two of us. We have a quiet condo with excellent sound-proofing and with understated luxury. We also love the international flavor and the friendly community. Within easy driving distance are a half dozen wineries as well as farms with fresh produce, cheese and other dairy products, and great shopping centers to engage in 'retail therapy.'

What makes this condo unique

We are an end condo unit, so the views from the windows on the west and north are amazing. The beach walks are just down the stairs and across the street. Excellent dining out opportunities within walking distance.

After staying at this condo in September my wife and I knew we had to go back. We spent a wonderful weekend enjoying the sunsets (right from the condo) and the serenity of Birch Bay. The condo is gorgeous and comfortable with all the amenities you could want. We will go back.

Our stay here was wonderful. Everything was perfect down to the smallest detail. This is a beautiful condo, it is very peaceful and quiet with an amazing view. The owners are very pleasant and accommodating. I highly recommend it.

My husband and I stayed for two nights and were tempted to add a third, but the real world beckoned. Very quiet and peaceful. Got lots of reading done and some good walks. A perfect place for us so we will be back.

Grandparents quiet time

After working and babysitting our grandkids my wife and I decided we needed some alone time. What better place to stay than Birch Bay which we both had enjoyed as children. And we could not have found a better condo to stay in. From the moment we walked in we both had smiles on our faces. Beautiful decor, wonderful views, great amenities. Peace and quiet. We enoyed ourselves so much that we had to ask ourselves this question. Why wait until summer to come back again? Nothing says Pacific Northwest like a stormy day. We will be back and it will be before summer and it will be this condo.
