House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

This is a very comfortable single-family home on a direct Gulf access, sailboat-access canal that is less than 10 minutes to the Caloosahatchee River and less than 1/2 hour to the Gulf of Mexico.

The home features a master bedroom with a king sized bed, TV, walk-in closet with a recently renovated private bath featuring a tub and shower. One guest bedroom has a king sized bed. The second guest bedroom has a new queen sized bed, TV and a large walk-in closet. Across the hall from the second guest bedroom is a recently renovated bathroom with a large shower which is accessible to/from the screened in lanai/pool area for your convenience.

The full service kitchen is bright and has a double window which fully opens (6') out to the lanai and outdoor dining area. It has a garbage disposal and flitered water dispenser, dishwasher as well as the usual appliances ans a new stove and cooktop. The kitchen is open to the den and separated from it by an eat-in counter with two stools. The dining room off the kitchen has a wonderful view of the lanai, pool area and canal through double-opening, glass doors. It features a beautiful Travertine marble dining table for six.

The den is furnished with beautiful leather sofas, one full sized and big enough to sleep an adult and the other slightly smaller but very comfortable for two people. The entertainment center is in the den and has a full sized TV with a DVD player and VHS player as well as a stereo with surround sound.

The dining room is directly off the kitchen with a large Travertine Marble table and six comfortable chairs all on a beautiful marble tiled floor.

The very large living room is a great room for entertaining with a matching overstuffed and extremely comfortable couch, love seat and chair with an ottoman. The elegant side tables are matching Travertine marble bases with glass tops. The thick carpeting gives the room a warm inviting feel. Some of the furniture is antique and very well maintained. Most of the artworks are originals or signed prints.

The laundry room is down a hallway separated by a pocket door from the den and has an entry to the garage and features a full-sized washer and dryer as well as many cabinets for storage. This is also the computer station with a printer. We also have Wi-Fi.

The house has a two-car garage with off-street parking for two more cars in the driveway. There are many tools and a work bench area in the garage along with three bikes one of which has a child seat on the back of it.

The lanai/pool area is quite large with an oversized pool and features a six person spa as well as lounge chairs, chaise lounges, a glass topped table with four chairs, two stools at the kitchen access bar and a new stainless propane grill.

There is a path from the door of the screen structure that leads to the waterfront with more chairs and chaise lounges on another patio, a wooden dock area, a covered boat lift and jet ski lift. It even has a crab trap and there are fishing poles in the garage for your use. The landscaping is beautiful with many exotic plant varieties including bananas, grapefruit, lemons, limes and oranges and well as a small herb garden. You can catch your dinner, season it and make a daiquiri ... just add rum!

Great shopping and dining are close by. It is near the Four Mile Cove Ecological Preserve where you can hike and rent kayaks. There is a new park at the entrance of our canal from the Caloosahatchee River where you can launch a boat.

This part of Cape Coral is fun, unpretentious and friendly, and this is why we love it and think you will too.

We live on beautiful Lake Hopatcong in northwestern New Jersey and love the boating life including sailboat racing, antique wooden boats, canoeing and kayaking. Tom is a Landscape Architect and Genie is a Land Use Administrator. We have three grown daughters and one grandson and one granddaughter. We bought this home in the hope that we could use it more when we retire. The home is so comfortable and we feel our family will enjoy visiting us down here because there is something for EVERYONE here and everything is so convenient.

We thought the neighborhood was very friendly and safe. The canal ride to the river is short and is deep so you won't hit bottom and some of the canal is a park and undeveloped. There is a lot of shopping close by. The home is far enough away from the main drag so there is no traffic noise and the canal is quiet. A hospital is very close by. With no neighbors on the adjoining lots, outdoor space is ample and privacy ensured. We like that it is close to Fort Myers and the airport to pick up visitors. Also, Fort Meyers is a really neat town with upscale restaurants and lots of cultural events. The wonderful beaches of Sanibel, Captiva and Fort Myers Beach are only a short drive or boat ride away. The Cape Coral farmers market is a great place on Saturday mornings during the winter months.

Warm temperatures, beautiful weather, a beautiful large pool, large spa, spectacular sunsets, great access to boating and sailing, convenient bargain shopping and great dining. Directly across and along the river are fabulous mansions we enjoy viewing from our boat. We drive to beaches both pristine and commercial, Sanibel and Captiva Islands, Fort Myers Beach, Naples, the Planetarium and Aquarium, miniature golf and Pine Island that reminded us of the British Virgin Islands. There is also the great fishing of Charlotte Harbor very nearby.

Our beautiful home is very close to Sanibel Island, Captiva Island, the bohemian Pine Island and Fort Myers Beach all of which are great day trips with wonderful scenery, great beaches, delicious restaurants, fishing from land or sea and some of the best beach combing in the United States. It is very close to shopping of all kinds yet far enouph away that there is no traffic and is extremely relaxing. Biking to the local park or the Ecological Preserve is another fun yet short trip. Rent a boat from the local boat livery and explore the canals, the Calosahachee River or go out to the Gulf or go Tarpon fishing in Pine Island Sound.

Very close to a free, city owned boat launch area, park, ecological preserve and shopping. Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel Island and Captiva Island and their beaches and islands are a short drive or boat ride away. This is a nice nieghborhood where we go bike riding on a regular basis and have wonderful nieghbors. The lots on both sides of the house are vacant giving you lots of room and privacy. There is a great farmer's market during the winter months in Cape Coral.
