House, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 15-21)

This house has vaulted wood ceilings and hardwood floors. There is a huge backyard with small hills for sleding. Recently renovated, it has new appliances and updated appearance.

Only 5 Miles from Northstar at Tahoe, you can actually see the slopes from the backyard.

For the kids, we have a play room, tree fort, and a 'ground' fort.

About The Owner

I bought this house because I love skiing and snowboarding. I usually need to be in Sacramento area for the weekends, so renting-out the Truckee house for the weekends makes a lot of sense. I usually can't get back up there until Monday or later, which is why I usually offer Sunday nights for free(sometimes Monday night too).

Summer in Tahoe is great for fishing, biking, hiking, etc. But, as I mentioned earlier, I got the house for boarding and skiing. So, if you like summer sports, that is the time when I give the best deals.

Why The Owner chose Truckee

I wanted to have a place to go near skiing, and Northstar was my favorite ski resort. I loved this location because it is a secluded neighborhood, yet it is a short drive from freeways. The fact that the house was so great was just a bonus. I really love the location relative to restaurants, skiing, woods, downtown, and recreation of all kinds.

What makes this house unique

I like that BOTH of the heaters in this house are oversized for the task. The house can be heated very promptly.

The large driveway, and extra parking areas are great for when I have lots of guests.

A nice place to relax that is nearby many places for having a good time. Nearby skiing resorts if some of your group are into that and also close to both Reno and Tahoe for nice restaurants and clubs for others. A very clean place with a number of activities like the pool table in the place. For a lower key outing, there is also a nearby bar/restaurant that has good hamburgers and other bar style food.

Got a great deal for a May ski trip. Decent end of season skiing without any lines. House is great and close to several ski resorts. Owner is great to work with. Highly recommended North Tahoe rental.

Spring Snow=Less Crowds

What a great place to getaway with the family! Our kids loved the special fort in one of the rooms! Neat game room downstairs, Nice to have access to free firewood after a fun day of sledding! Late-in-the-season sledding is awesome with less crowds!

Truckee in the Spring so perfect!

We stayed at this house last spring and it was perfect! There were 10 of us including kids aged 3-12 and our plan was to go up to Truckee do some last minute skiing/snowboarding since there was still plenty of snow on the ground & the ski resorts were giving away tickets like hotcakes. Our plan failed because the house was so much fun! We just hung out for the weekend playing PS3, watching movies, playing board games & just enjoying the relaxed atmosphere. There was something for everyone to do and be entertained by including the computer & pool downstairs. Besides the flat screen in the living room, each bedroom has cable tv, some with DVR's so you don't miss your favorite programs (if you're into that while on vacation). This was one of the best vacation rentals we've stayed in and it was super simple to get to, practically right off the freeway. The owner Mike is so easy to work with, really nice and patient. We've started making our plans to go back again this spring & maybe this time we'll actually ski but even if we don't I won't be disappointed.
