Guestbook comments from the owner
Stayed at Barefoot Bungalow had a great time. The views of the beach were great. There was alot to do with Moody Gardens being near.
The house was furnished nicely and the yard was ideal for children playtime. The grill was nice for outside cooking.
Definitely a place to return next season!
The day I found my home I knew it was the perfect retreat from all the hustles and bustles of life. I was born on Galveston Island and wanted to be able to stay as much as I could. I work downtown Houston so I look forward to getting away from all the traffic. I have 7 grandchildren who love to take time at the beach with Oma DI.
I chose Sea Isle as the area that I wanted to have my vacation rental. It's off the main seawall in downtown Galveston. It's nice that you can walk out of your home and be on the beach. The Sea Isle subdivision offers the pool, and park nearby for those who want to swim outside the beach area. The park facilities are nice to take a picnic. I have been a vacation home owner since August 2008. We did survive the Hurricane Ike with a blessing from above since we had only closed on our property 8/15 and Ike arrived 9/13/08.
Private home. Not overly tourists place like hotels. Your own place for parking and relaxing. Cooking whether its outside on the grill or in the full kitchen area. This is where I would want to stay away from all the turmoil and hassles of normal daily routines.
