Winter Wonderland at Whiteface Lodge!

From speaking with Margaret on the phone the very first time until checking out from the Whiteface Lodge this morning, every aspect of our long weekend getaway was just perfect. Margaret is such a friendly, gracious host, and she has a way about her that makes you feel like a family guest when you stay at her property. She was just as eager and excited for us to stay in her luxurious condo as we were!
It was everything and more of what she shared with us before hand. The grounds are spectacular. The furnishings are so perfect for an Adirondack vacation. It is the best mix of rustic and luxury. The kids loved the bunk beds, and having their own room. The outdoor room was a great space to overlook the pond and read a book or have a cup of hot cocoa.
We loved the daily cookies delivered, the friendly staff at the front desk, vallet and restaurants. The amentities the lodge offers are great!. Unfortunately we did not have snow or cold enough temperatures to ice skate or sled, but the kids loved the game room, bowling and of course indoor/outdoor swimming! We ate breakfast each morning nearby the grand Christmas tree, and had many drinks and snacks by the fire as well as meals at Kanu Lounge as we played checkers. This is the type of vacation that is a throw back to nostalgia with the modern convenience of a movie theater and a spa! I loved that I could use the steam room and sauna each morning to start my day! The environment is such that you feel you are home away from home- literally.
I cannot thank Margaret enough and cannot wait to book my next stay with her!!! She obviously has great taste :))
