Family Vacation 2012

Our family had the privilege of staying at Matt and Jill's home on Mullett Lake and we had a very nice time. The house is just as it is pictured...extremely clean and spacious. The beach was very clean and the water was crystal clear. We really enjoyed the swing and picnic tables that were at the beach as well. Our granddaughter had a lot of fun playing at the beach. (Wearing water shoes is highly recommended due to the zebra muscles) We visited Mackinaw City, Petosky, Indian River, Burt Lake and Cheboygan during our stay, and all were close to the home so that driving was minimal. We ate at Mulligan's Restaurant and The Boat House Restaurant in Cheboygan, while enjoying the Dairy Queen across the street! Matt and Jill were extremely accommodating to our needs and they went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable. Their commitment to their tennants is remarkable and we would recommend their home to friends and family.

Beautiful home!

We had a wonderful, restful time which was our goal. The home is very comfortable, equipped with everything you would need and decorated beautifully, especially the kitchen. My grandchildren had a lot of fun at the beach but I think their favorite time was going for ice cream almost every night. Matt and Jill made us feel so welcome - like it was our home away from home. I have rented a few places in recent years and this was by far the best. I would definately stay there again.
Owner's Response: More great guests! We are always happy to know that our guests have had a great time and enjoyed the cottage. If they feel it is their home away from home we have done our job.

Mullett Lake

We had a great time during our visit at Mullet Lake. The cabin was very, very clean! We had enough space for everyone and the kitchen was beautiful, it had everything we needed. We went to Burt Lake several times and went tubing on the Sturgeon River. The kids had blast. We were so close to everything. Do wear water shoes at Burt and Mullet Lakes. We saw several little ones cut their feet on the clumps of shells. We traveled to Harbor Springs, up the tunnel of trees, it is a a beautiful drive and of course went to the Macinaw Island. We can't wait to come back.
Owner's Response: Thanks for the great comments! We work hard to keep the property in top shape and make our guests stay enjoyable. Great guests are always welcome back.

Our stay at this beautiful home

The home was beautiful and the lake access was great! We really enjoyed our time at this property. It was a short drive to town and there was plenty to do. Mackinac was close also and just a 30 minute drive to beautiful Charlevioux and Petoskey. The communication with the owner was always prompt and courteous. Thanks Matt for a great time!
Owner's Response: Lisa, thanks for your kind words. This was a wonderful family and great guests that we enjoyed having stay. For future guests, Charlevoix is about 15 minutes further than Petoskey and a great place to go as is Petoskey and Harbor Springs and Cheboygan. All have a real flavor of Northern Michigan.

Our lake frontage is private to a small number of homes in our association. It has a nice sand beach and lake bottom. It does stay shallow for quite a ways out from the beach and is great swimming for kids and adults.

Memorial Day 2012

The property was well maintained, well equipped and fairly secluded. The kitchen was fully loaded with plently of spices, coffee maker, bean grinder, plates, pans, grilling equipment, dishwasher, etc. The view of the lake is through the trees at the front of the house and is accessible by a short walk through the small association and across the main street. The beach was nice and sandy and shallow, perfect for little ones (use water shoes for the stray zebra muscles). The owner spent time with us to show us around the house, the property, and gave us contact information if anything was needed (and it was not).
Owner's Response: Great renters that took good care of the cottage. We take a lot of pride in our property and care in our maintenance. Our goal is for our guests to have a great time.
