A great place at a great price!
We love this condo. Here's why:
It is spacious at about 1000 square feet with another 100 sq feet of lanai. The view is amazing from the 5th floor as you look north. You see the vast blueness of the gulf plus the town of Mort Myers Beach curling north. As you look straight down you see ibises and herons feeding in the bird sanctuary, and from another vantage point you see the Terra Mara pool. The lanai is shaded all day so it never gets hot or the sun too blinding. We hardly turn the a/c on and just enjoy the gulf breezes.
There is a washer and dryer in the unit, which I think is necessary. The bedroom is good size with lots of closet space and steps out to the lanai. The kitchen has fairly new appliances and is adequately outfitted. The family room (2nd bedroom) is very comfortable with beautiful views. The bathroom has everything you need including strong water pressure
Sue, the owner, is absolutely wonderful to work with. She's easy to reach via email and is very cooperative. To me, that is a real plus because there is really no "hassle factor" when renting the condo.
We also found the owners and other renters to be very friendly.
You will find the condo complex very clean and the landscaping is beautiful. The pool has to be one of the biggest on the beach and 9 feet deep~we love that.
We would always walk south to get to the beach as it becomes more natural, beautiful, and less populated. Sometimes we would walk all the way to the south bridge right on the beach barefoot for 3 miles roundtrip while looking at birds, seeing dolphins, collecting shells, watching the sunset. It doesn't get any better!
The condo location is perfect. There is a crosswalk right in front of the condo building to Santini Plaza where there is many good eating places, fun shops, and a marina. Right next door is a 7-11 and kitty corner from the condo is a large CVS Pharmacy. Two miles up the road is a Publix grocery store. About 1/4 mile north is the Holiday Inn with a great happy hour and live music most nights.
