Santa Barbara Studio Rental Photos and Description
Studio, 1 Bath (Sleeps 3)
A classy hideaway in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara's entertainment district. The apartment is one block from State St., 2 blocks from the 'Funk Zone' and four blocks up from the beach. The house is in the heart of the entertainment district with shopping, music, dance and excellent restaurants just steps away. This artist designed studio apartment is small but beautiful. The apartment has exclusive use of the front porch of a lovely craftsman style house on a charmingly landscaped, fully enclosed private property in the center of the entertainment district . The elegantly designed corner bed couch is unusual. A drawer pulls out to convert it to a really comfortable queen size bed with tempurpedic topper. We can add an extra single bed if needed. There is HDTV, WIFI, washer/dryer and gated private off street parking. BBQ on your porch, eat fresh fruit from the fruit trees and use the free bicycles for car free, stress free enjoyment. Relax and fell pampered in this thoughtfully re-designed and well loved home. This is a 'quiet' property as it is one of three apartments in an old home so please understand that this is not a good choice for loud late night partying.

Guestbook comments from the manager
What a great place! It's a block from State St. 4 blocks to the wharf. I walked to everything, no need for a car. I stayed in the studio. Perfect for a business traveler, or a couple on a budget. I live in hotels. I'm on the road 52 weeks/year. The moment I opened the door, it was like being home. VERY comfortable homey apartment with laundry facilities and a private porch. If you've ever wondered what it would be like to live in Santa Barbara,
here's your answer. I LOVED THE PLACE.
I have been a professional artist all of my life and I grew up in this house. Turning it into vacation rentals was a labor of love. It is a family run business: Gramma Shirley moved out of her home in order to convert the house to vacation rentals. Cousin Laura is the Property Manager and Concierge. Nephew Jon sometimes handles reservations (I do too) We all enjoy and appreciate our very special guests.
PS -- we don't really speak 19 languages but we can google translate like crazy.

Our family were renters in the house for 40 years before we were able to buy it in 1993. My grandmother and grandfather ran a washing machine repair business in the house. Both Jon and I grew up (at least partly) in the house. Our grandfather was 'Papa Duck' to all the children in the family. Thus The 3 DUX!
A beautiful home in a convenient location run by good people.
