Our family and friends have enjoyed this piece of 'paradise' for over 25 years and now we wish to share it with YOU.
I am a Vermonter and currently live in Vermont my family spends Approximately two months a year in Puerto Rico The condo was purchased by my Father in March 1981. We are not full-time renters do we wish to be we only rent approximately 10 to 12 weeks a year in order to help defray costs
The Owner purchased this condo in 1981
Once you have been here, and seeing the views and all there is to offer it is self-explanatory as I stated before we have been coming here for over 32 years
A great central location for those who wish to explore/see the many areas of the island, other islands,or just to sit back and relax (highly recommended) ..Mountian/ Rain Forest views from all windows including balcony.
Just finished our 1st family trip to PR. 6 of us, including granddaughter, 4 generations of family stayed here. Everyday was paradise. Everything we needed was available in condo. 3 separate bedrooms plus livingroom area plus deck overlooking the ocean. Room enough for privacy or to lounge together. We watched the sunrise from the deck most days, then walked along the water outside. Water flowed into a lagoon like area that the baby loved to play in. We didn't run into anyone else on the beach or at the pool.
We visited El Yunque, like 10 minute drive away, and hiked to La Mina falls (worth it)! We did bring the baby (1 1/2 yrs old), she had to be carried but it was no trouble. We spent many days by the kiosks, 5 minute drive, and swam in the water there as well as bought our souvenirs and ate SOOO much food. Most people we spoke to spoke English and Spanish. My 2 teens did 2-hr horseback ride along ocean and river and absolutely loved it. We also ate at Boardriders our first night in and Cactus grill (both 2 min away). Very nice. We did a little grocery shopping at Amigos, right across the road. Condo had everything we needed to prepare the couple meals we ate inside.
We drove to Gurabo one day to visit friend, and also to Old San Juan another day, about an hrs drive for each trip. Those were only distant excursions, otherwise swimming, walking along the ocean, and rain forest are in front of and behind the condo. Again, I'll stress, that outside deck was a favorite spot to chill before and after enjoying each day in Luquillo.
Overall, best trip ever! I will absolutely go back. We didn't want to leave in the first place.
The owner, Tom, was available by phone and email. Answered all our questions promptly. He was wonderful, the place was paradise.
My wife, Debby, and I just got done with the most relaxing stay we've ever had in Puerto Rico (we are on our 5th yr). This was mostly due to Tom's well stocked and well decorated condo! It wasn't "ritzy" but better yet, it was comfortably "homey".
As others have stated, it is well stocked with virtually everything you could think of for enjoying a day at the beach. Sunning, swimming, snorkeling, chairs, a sun umbrella, towels, even sunscreen and lotion. The kitchen was the most complete kitchen we have enjoyed during any of our stays. It has a 4-burner stove/oven, full size refrigerator w/freezer, toaster oven, microwave, blender, coffee pot, toaster and more. It was more than amply supplied with pots, pans, large serving/prep bowls, knives and cooking utensils.
My son and his wife joined us for a few days. There was plenty of living space, bedrooms and bathrooms for all four of us. Boardriders and Pasta y Pueblo were our favorite restuarants within walking distant; The Brass Cactus and El Jefe Burgers (in the Kiosks) were only a five minute drive.
The sound of the waves was delightful and the breeze off the ocean kept the condo very comfortable all day and evening. Last, but not least, the view(s) were absolutely AMAZING!!
Thanks again, Tom. WE will be back!
My family (me, hubby and three adult kids) had a blast Dec 28-Jan 3! Had never been to the Caribbean before so this was a lovely introduction. The view from the condo (7th floor) is absolutely awesome, whether it's sunrise, sunset or anytime in between. Really appreciated having two bathrooms and all the towels, sheets and kitchenware provided. Luquillo quiets down significantly the week after Christmas, so lots of the eating spots we would have tried were closed but Boardriders was open and rocking every night! New Year's eve brings loud parades and fireworks going off all over town at midnight - that was a sight to behold from the balcony!
The condo is gated, with onsite parking, spacious, comfy, outfitted for hanging out or coming in all sandy from the beach. It's also blessed with a particularly delightful neighbor who we loved getting to know! We loved eating at the kioskos (sp), visiting El Yunque rain forest, hitting the beaches and sightseeing in old San Juan. One note of caution - the cruise boats unleashed 15,000 tourists on OSJ on Dec 31, the day we visited! It was particularly packed, but we still had a great time, particularly visiting El Morro Castle. Not to be missed!
I would definitely go back again.
I had a great stay! The view is amazing and the breeze from the balcony is great. We were never hot throughout the day because of the breeze, and at night when we closed the doors we used the AC in the bedroom.
The condo is stocked with lots of vacation essentials in case you need them (towels, chairs, snorkels and masks, sunscreen, aloe, ...). Also, it has a full kitchen, wifi, cable, washer and line to dry.
Nice pool, and a lot of the time we were the only ones swimming in it.
There are signs that you have to be careful swimming in the ocean directly in front of the condo (there can be riptides, although I saw people swimming), but if you walk down the beach a little ways it's safe.
Great restaurants nearby, we went to Boardriders multiple times. Pasta y Pueblo was awesome.
I did hear the roosters. They weren't loud enough to wake me up, I actually thought they were cool. They added to the character of the neighborhood!
I loved the condo and would go back again for sure!!
The condo is spacious, clean with a balcony with a breathtaking view of the ocean!! There is a constant ocean breeze and the sound of the waves hitting the shoreline that you just can't beat!
Everything you need is at the condo, beach chairs, beach towels, suntan lotion you name it you got it! And if by chance you don't stores are basically right around the corner.
We rented a car and literally you can get to anywhere with ease. And if you want to walk there are many restaurants, stores ect..you can get to on foot as well!
Tom the owner is so very helpful and is literally just a phone call away if you need him!
We enjoyed ourselves very much and we can't wait to go back next year!!!

We’ve rented condos all over the world and this is one of the best. The owner, Tom, is great to deal with. This was our second trip to Puerto Rico. Our first stay was in San Juan. I agree with all the good things said in previous posts but I disagree with the negative comment on roosters and hot water.
The roosters add charm and character to the place. I really enjoyed being able to view the sea and surf from the balcony side and then view the rain forest mountains out of the bedroom window while listening to the roosters (they’re not that loud). I made a point of videotaping both contrasting scenes (rainbow included) to share on you tube. In any case, if you are sleeping with the windows closed and the A/C on you can’t hear them at all. Some people just like to find something to complain about.
While there may have been hot water issues in the past they were fixed. The water was plenty hot enough to take a good shower.
I must say that everything you might forget to bring is available in the condo. I understand this is Tom’s occasional family home and he treats it that way. He must stock up on everything when he is here.
There is a new restaurant, Riqueño Fonda Puertorriqueña, Kiosk #15 and I was compelled to write a 5 star review of it on Yelp. This is a small place with glass doors to shut out the street noise. The very pleasant owner provides the best ‘personal’ service.
The surf on the north coast of Puerto Rico is strong enough to attract many surfers. You can watch them from the condo balcony for entertainment. Luquillo Beach is the best beach in all of Puerto Rico and is only five minutes away. The water is calm, since there is a reef way out that breaks the waves. It is safe for kids. You can park at the Monserrate Balneario for $4 and get all the services of toilets and tables or you can park next door at the public beach behind the kiosks for free. You can pull up right to the beach there. If you get hungry you can walk to a kiosk and get something to eat/drink and use their toilets if needed.
The tourist things we did here were all from the guide book. My only advice is not to bother trying to take the Ferry to the island of Culebra. We stood in line for a couple hours and did not get to buy a ticket. Don’t waste your time.
Lastly I should mention the next door neighbor Anna, a Puerto Rican native that speaks excellent English. Anna was very helpful to us during our stay.
Luquillo is a small Puerto Rican town of about 20,000 people It is divided into two areas by the main road, route 3. Our condo Is approximately 30 miles to San Juan and less than 10 miles to the town of Fajardo where you can catch ferries fishing scuba diving the bioluminescent tours and All types of water sports as well as golf.
