My wife and I recently retired from our respective careers in Alaska, and have since moved to the Tri-Cities in SE Washington.

Why The Owner chose Kailua Kona

Kona is a very relaxing location, not to say there isn't plenty of night life, but if your looking to 'party like it is 1999' you will probably be happier going to Maui :-0

What makes this condo unique

Located right on Alii Drive, in less than a five minute walk will get you to the farmer's market, as well as most of the shops and restaurants in Kona.

A great place and a great owner!

Unless you are someone who is spoiled rotten and love to spend a small fortune to stay in Kona, this is the place for you. We stayed for four weeks. The owner was nothing short of fantastic to deal with. He usually got back to me within a few hours if I had a question. The condo is not directly on the ocean, but still has great views (partial ocean view). You can go up to the 7th floor sundeck if you want an even better view. We loved being downtown. And although the condo is fairly close to the street, we heard very little street noise. At night you can easily hear ocean waves hitting the shore. Having two bathrooms was great, and the condo came equipped with many of the things you need for water fun. You can also walk out the front door of the building (which has a spectacular location right in front of the ocean) and get everything you need or want within a few blocks. The living room is spacious, the kitchen well equipped, the lanai great for watching sunsets, and the building manager is readily available if needed. Frankly, if we ever go back to Kona, this is the place we will rent.

This condo is exactly what is says & shows. It was fabulous. We stayed for a week in Nov 2014. It is literally across the street from the ocean, with a beautiful view from the balcony. You can hear the waves crashing at night & in the mornings. Perfect for a relaxing vacation! We absolutely loved it. Great location, great accommodations, and Mike was great in making the arrangements & answering any questions. I would recommend this to anyone & everyone & would definitely use this rental again in the future.

Great Stay for Ironman week - perfect location and nice condo

Our family stayed for two weeks at the Kona Alii for Ironman. The location is truly perfect, walking distance to everything - next door to farmers market, athletes village,... Also very conveniently located to the "Big Box" stores for supplies. The condo had pretty much everything (towels, sheets, dishtowels, ...) and everything was very clean and in excellent condition. The pool made it great for the kids. A couple things to note: There is no air-conditioning. It was find with the cross breeze, (I think most condo's and homes don't have A/C, but as mainlanders we were surprised). Jasmene, the property manager was very responsive and we had a couple minor issues that Jasmene worked to resolve. I highly recommend this condo at the Kona Alii!

We have never done a condo rental but our experience with Mike was great! He answered our questions, supplied great details, directions and was patient with us. The place it's self was great and is in a great location! We will rent again, if available, next time.

This condo has some recent updates not in the photos. It is quite comfortable and well-equipped. A bonus that is sleeps 6, if needed. Having two full bathrooms was quite helpful. I appreciated being close in to Kailua shops. You'll need a rental car to get around, unless you are happy walking everywhere and paying more. Costco is not too far, find it if you are a member and save big on food and gas. Ample restaurants within 5 minute walk. It works well!
