Fantastic long weekend in a house that is truly a home! The photos are accurate-- the reality is even better! Spacious and open first floor/great room let my family (joining from Washington, California and Illinois) be together, but doing different things, with room to spare. The wood floors are gorgeous and the gas fireplace warmed the entire house, literally and figuratively. We just loved the glowing flames and the mood the fireplace created. The BBQ worked easily, right outside the door, on a super, deep wrap-around deck. Quick drive to the market in Maple Falls, or in Glacier on the way back from skiing; the little markets, and other shops in the area, have everything you need. Master bath is huge and beautiful. It was a pleasure to work with Travis, and all communications relating to the house info, directions, billing, etc, were well done, easy and efficient, and personable. House is right off Mt. Baker Highway, and easy to find, but even so, we felt quite remote! House was spotless and functioning in all respects. The views from the house are amazing and, thanks to the window-filled cathedral design, we enjoyed PNW beauty at all times. A unique house with an openness and coziness combining to create a perfect ambiance. We are looking forward to a return trip, in summer and winter! Enjoy!
