Stay on the mountain in The Village at Camelback, a secure, gated community.
Our townhouse is conveniently located three-quarters of the way up Camelback Mountain - a chairlift ends opposite our parking lot for easy access. We are just 100 yards from the house to the ski trail on a level parking lot.
Our home is on the parking lot level. When arriving, the car may be unloaded at the front door of the townhouse - just one step up from parking lot onto deck and one more step into the house. Parking for two cars is available on our parking level.
When entering the house there will be the kitchen with adjoining eating area. The kitchen table has an open-up leaf and seats eight (8) people. A powder room located off the kitchen. The spacious living room has a cathedral ceiling, new comfy sofa and matching love seat, lounge chair, wood-burning fireplace, entertainment center with TV, VCR, DVD, stereo, etc., and sliding glass door which opens onto a large deck.
An open loft overlooks the living room. The loft contains a queen bed, armoire, clock radio, closet and full bath with stall shower.
There are two bedrooms on the lower level. One is furnished with a double bed and a single bed, large dresser, small TV, and large walk-in closet. Circuit brakers are located in this closet. The second bedroom has a set of bunk beds and a single bed, an armoire and large louvered door closet. Also on this level is a full bath with tub/shower and a full-size washer and dryer.
Comforters and pillows are provided. We do not provide paper products or linens; i.e. sheets and towels. We make our home away from home comfortable for all to enjoy.
We are the original owners of this townhouse and have endeavored to keep it well maintained and clean. Our family has enjoyed many seasons in our second home.
We purchased this home because of our love of skiing and its convenience to the slopes. Our children were raised on skis and now aur grandchildren are following suit.
We enjoy the location and the many, many things to do in the area. Summer is just as active as the winter. The Poconos have many attractions including the Camelbeach water park located at the bottom of the mountain on which our townhome is located. Also the Crossroads outlets are near by. Check the Pocono web site for the many amenities listed. Because we are on the mountain, the air is wonderful, as is the view.
The Village at Camelback has a sports center for your enjoyment in which is located an indoor pool for winter (heated to 83 degrees) with sliding glass doors that open to a beautiful outdoor deck for basking in the summer sun, a jacuzzi, an exercise room with free weights, a universal machine Nordic track leg lift bike, a Nordic teack electric weight system, total gym recumbant bike and a treadmill, movie rentals, restrooms, and staffed administrative office. Also offered are two indoor and two outdoor tennis courts.
Our home is located on the same mountain as the Camelback Ski Area (winter) and Camelbeach Water Park (summer). It is the largest water park in the Poconos, features a large variety of water amusements. We are located three quarters of the way up the mountain and are ski in/out during the winter. We are 75 yards from the ski trail and at the top of one of the lifts so you can ski home for lunch, etc. No need to park your car at the mountain. Camelback offers 33 trails as well as a half pipe for snowboarding or the snow tubing park a short distance down the road.
We are accessible to the Pocono Raceway and Pocono Downs Harness Racetrack. Minutes away are several golf courses, the Mount Airy Casino and the Crossroads Outlets with over 100 outlet stores. Many good restaurants are nearby, as well as the Stoudsburg Mall.
Many attractions, such as Bushkill Falls, are near by.
