Beautiful loft with a great location!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at the loft for 5 days while we were in Quebec City for the winter carnival. It was the perfect location -- right in the wall of the old city, so the shops and restaurants are easily accessible, but also a short walk to the Plains of Abraham where many of the festival activities took place. The loft is gorgeous (even better than the pictures), and has everything you need for a pleasant stay, such as a full kitchen (including a fondue pot!!!), washing machine and dryer, extra sheets/towels/pillows, tv, internet. Sylvain was a very pleasant host who speaks English very well, so there were no problems there. I would recommend this loft to a couple seeking a romantic getaway, or to families with children (I would have loved to stay in the second bed in the loft as a child!) This was our first time in Quebec City, and we would like to return at some point in the summer -- we will definitely stay here, and would recommend this to any of our friends and family.

Couldn't have been any better!

  • 5 of 5

We came for a few days in late September. Sylvain was very helpful when we had any questions about location/entry to the building and any other particular details we may needed.

When we got to the loft, the location was amazing! It couldn't have been more centrally located to restaurants, shops, etc. simply walk out the front door and you are walking among amazing bakeries, restaurants, and late night hangouts!

The loft itself was comfortable, relaxing, and offered a quiet refuge to escape and catch up on some work from back home when we weren't walking the beautiful old city. (Using the secure wireless internet is a great help in finding local sites, etc). The loft was so comfortable, we slept in a few days, which is something we rarely do.

I would absolutely recommend the loft to anyone who was thinking of visiting. For the location, amenities, and overall experience, it is a fantastic value!

Fantastic Condo

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent 10 wonderful days in Quebec and our stay at this loft contributed to our great holiday. Beautifully decorated. It is close to anywhere you wish to walk to in Old Quebec. We enjoyed walking to the market, picking up fresh ingredients for our suppers and cooking them in the great kitchen. We went out for dinner just twice as we enjoyed the ambiance of the loft so much! The rooftop terrace provides a great view of the city and we enjoyed many glasses of wine just sitting and relaxing. This is our fourth trip to Quebec and we plan on returning in the near future. This property, as advertised, was clean, well maintained, and perfectly situated in Old Quebec. It so spoiled us that we doubt we will ever stay in a hotel on future visits to Quebec. We would highly recommend this loft to friends and family.

A wonderful VRBO experience!

  • 5 of 5

The loft is better than described on VRBO. I'd give it SIX stars if I could. The building in which the loft is located is beautifully maintained and modern. A rear door leads to your parked car, the front door leads to endless streets of pubs, restaurants, galleries, shopping, architecture, history, music and fun. The location is an easy drive to Mont Ste. Anne for skiing. At the end of the day you return to this amazing loft. An elevator makes moving luggage in and out a breeze. It is an excellent choice for an urban ski vacation combined with touring Old Quebec City. Be sure to take the guided walking tour!

Loft St. Jean

  • 5 of 5

Just about the most perfect place to be in Old Quebec! We arrived early and we're able to access the loft and leave our luggage. It was beautiful and in a perfect location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. After a week of cruising it was great to do our laundry right there in the condo. We had so much fun people watching out the windows. The view from the roof was also beautiful. If we ever return to Quebec City we would want to stay there again. Sylvain was great and our damage deposit was returned very quickly. Thanks for a very memorable stay.

Absolutely Perfect In Every Detail.

  • 5 of 5

Although the online description of this loft indicates that the apartment is located on the top floor of the building, it fails to mention that there IS an elevator that delivers you to your door. The building has recently been totally renovated exposing the original brickwork and giving the loft plenty of character. The 14' high ceiling and the massive arched windows give you a pigeon's perspective on the mix of locals and visitors who parade past on the sidewalk below. The blend of old architecture and fresh furnishings makes this loft an idyllic nest after a day of feasting on the sights and flavors of new France. The appointments are exquisitely chosen and tastefully minimalistic, yet more than adequate. Towels, tissues, cookware, cleaning supplies, electronics, even candles--the place provides everything to pamper yourself during your stay. Life in this loft will make you forget home or, at least, make you want to delay your return. Our two cents worth of advice: The shower floor can be very slippery. If you don't want to risk ruining your vacation, you might throw a small towel on the floor of the shower to save yourself from performing an inelegant pirouette. This city of Quebec is spectacular and this loft will definitely add to your stay. The conveniences it affords simply abound! Dennis, Faith, Anne
