Bolton Landing House Rental Photos and Description

4 bedrooms, 2 full baths, 2 dens,sleeps 10-14; Everything is brand new for 2010

A charming 2 story home in Bolton Landing that is easy walking distance to everything, beach, boats, bars, restaurants, etc. Bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen, etc are all new in 2010 and are perfectly maintained so that everything still looks and works like new. New couches in 2012 and new firepit and sitting wall installed in 2013. You couldn't ask for a better location on Lake George and the house is immaculate and modern, but built for a family friendly getaway. We have high speed wired and wireless internet, Cable TV with multiple flat screen televisions, a private serene backyard with a river running through it and beautiful views of Lake George in the front. The house has all the modern amenities you would have in your home and then some. For the hot summer days, we installed central A/C. The house is fully winterized with central heat and new insulation, so its also a great place to enjoy Winterfest or drive to many of the nearby mountains like Gore, Hickory, West and Whiteface. Snowmobilers can find trails nearby.

Bolton Landing: If you like Spas or fine dining, you can walk to the Sagamore Hotel. The town of Bolton Landing is about 1 mile from end to end on Route 9. Our house is located at the Northern end of the town, right near the Sagamore hotel, the Bolton Landing public beach and the Grand Union Shopping center. Bolton Landing is located at the widest part of Lake George, just south of where the islands begin at the Narrows. There are many places to rent boats or to launch and dock your own boat or jet ski. At night, you can find the best restaurants such as the Algonquin or the Sagamore on the lake walking distance away. After dinner, there are candy and ice cream shops that you can walk to with the kids. After the kids go to sleep, you can walk to one of the many lakeside bars with live bands. Bolton is the ultimate getaway location and our house couldn't be in a better place. It's close enough to walk to anything and it's quiet enough to escape it all. Bring your bike and cruise the town.

The Sagamore: The Sagamore Hotel is one of the nicest spas in the Northeast and it's located a short beautiful walk from the house. While I'm out sailing with the kids, my wife loves to get pampered at the Sagamore. They are a full spa located on the most picturesque piece of land on Lake George. Please note that the Sagamore as well as many restaurants and stores in Bolton Landing close down for the winter time.

Veteran's Memorial Park Beach: About half a block south of the house on Route 9N (Main Street / Lakeshore Drive), you will find Veteran's Memorial Park in Bolton Landing where there is also a public beach. Visitors can swim from 7:00 am - 10:00 pm and must pay $5 for parking. Because you can walk there, there is no charge for you and your family and friends to visit and stay on this beautiful beach. There is also enough dock space at the beach for a bunch of boats to use at no charge, should you want to rent a boat and drive home for lunch. They have a volleyball net on the beach and a full court basketball court that are free to use. Additionally if you bring a canoe or kayak, there is a free location to store and launch your boat for the day at the end of the beach.

About Brian Epstein

I grew up on Long Island and moved Upstate NY to the Capital Region in the 90s. Although I missed the LI Sound and Jones Beach, I soon fell in love with Lake George.

Brian Epstein purchased this house in 2009

Why Brian Epstein chose Bolton Landing

When my kids got older, I bought a sailboat and kept it in the town of Bolton Landing. I fell in love with the town and bought this house a few years later because it was walking distance to everything that Bolton Landing had to offer.

What makes this house unique

My house isn't very big, but it comfortably sleeps and entertains large groups very comfortably. It's walking distance to everything, yet when you sit in the back yard and listen to the river flowing past you, you feel like you're in the middle of the forest.

Perfect house for weddings at the Sagamore

  • 5 of 5
This house was great for a group of friends attending a wedding at The Sagamore. The house was very clean and accurate to the description provided. The grill and fire pit were great features too. It was a 5 minute walk to the beach and no more then 10 to downtown Bolton Landing. It was much better staying here for my friends wedding at The Sagamore then paying the expensive price for staying at the Sagamore. Brian was a great contact for the house and was very helpful and easy to talk to. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The perfect location

  • 5 of 5
I can't say enough great things about this house. There was plenty of space for two families (4 adults and 6 kids). The house was in a perfect location to walk to the beach and to the main section of BL for dinner, ice cream, shopping, etc. The backyard area was small and may not be safe for smaller children, but it was fun for gathering around the fire pit to roast marshmallows. You won't regret renting this great house.

Our home is located right on the Corner of Lake Shore Drive (Route 9N) and N Brook Lane. Route 9N is the main street that takes you from the Lake George Village to Bolton Landing. Our home has nice lake views in the front and a beautiful treed look over a river in the back and side of the house that feeds into Lake George. Just one block away is an easy walk to the scenic Bolton Landing Public Beach with docking for boats or Sagamore road, which is where the famed Sagamore resort is located. Just past Sagamore road is where all the restaurants and shops begin. The house is perfectly located so that during prime season you can walk to beaches, ice cream, pizza, restaurants and shops. The LG Village and water parks are about a 15 minute drive South. For those that want to ski or snowmobile, the house is in between exits 23 and 24 on the Northway, the same exit that Gore Mountain is located. Whiteface Mountain in Lake Placid is exit 28 off of the Northway. www.boltonchamber.com

Notes:
The house was totally gutted and will be completed April, 2010, including central A/C and heat and a nice size propane grill in the back. Everything is brand new, everything!! The kitchen and bathrooms have granite counters with beautiful stainless steel appliances. All the furniture, beds, linens, etc. are band new. There is also a nice sized laundry room with a folding table. It's an ideal place for one, two or three families to relax, swim and boat during the day. At night you can cook at home or walk into the town of Bolton for dinner or drinks. Although not a huge house, there are enough beds to sleep 12 comfortably and rooms are all private with locking doors. The upstairs den is a great kid hang with a 42' LCD. My wife is very allergic to Dogs, so dogs on special cases only.I also have a Tanzer 22 sailboat docked easy walking distance from the house behind the Sagamore that I am ok with renting if you are competent sailer. Sailing out of Bolton Landing is unmatched!!
