Nestled on a secluded drive in the heart of the Seneca Lake wine trail is our newly built lake home we call Herbst's Hideaway. Relax in this brand new air conditioned 2300 sq ft home which is literally 10 ft from incredible level lakeshore. The panoramic view is breathtaking. We also have a new 100 ft dock leading to a large platform that will allow you to soak up the sun, swim and relax to your heart's content or listen to music from the Russound Multiroom Entertainment System (Sirius Satellite Radio, an IPod dock, Media Server which includes Internet Radio - also in main house and every bedroom) . Use the paddleboat or 2 tandem kayaks to row to the swim raft. Enjoy the four private king size bedrooms (two with bathrooms) and keep the kids together on the 2 sets of bunkbeds.

The upstairs includes a lakeside bedroom with private balcony, another corner fireplace and a 32' LCD TV. There are 2 more bedrooms (1 with private bath) and the kids will really enjoy the double bunkbeds in the loft. The second bathroom upstairs has a magnificent glass and tile shower and double vanity. Each bedroom has a king size bed and TV.

Notes: The Great Room boasts 20 ft ceilings, a wall of windows, 2 sliding french doors leading to the wraparound deck, dining table for 12, and 42' plasma TV with surround sound. Adjacent to the Great Room is the enormous gourmet kitchen with custom cabinets and center island with bar stools. There cannot be too many cooks in this kitchen with two ovens and two sinks! Next to the kitchen is the laundry area with washer and dryer. There is also a half bath for your convenience. The entire home and dock is equipped with a Russound Multiroom Entertainment System. The system offers Sirius Satellite Radio, an IPod dock, Media Server which includes Internet Radio and a library of CD's and DVD's, a separate CD/DVD player, and AM/FM radio, that can be controlled in all bedrooms, the great room and dock. So.. you don't have to listen to what the kids are listening to. For those of you who want to bring your boat or jet ski(s), we offer 2 boat hoists. In addition, there are 2 kayaks & pedal boat.

Family Vacation

Thank you ever so much Matthew and Julia for allowing our family to have a wonderful vacation at your beautiful home. We did a lot of boating, kayaking, swimming, planning our three meals a day at the end of the dock and just taking in the view! We enjoyed being there so much that we never went out to eat! All the rooms were neat and clean and more than adequate, and the kitchen was well stocked and equipped. Having the wineries nearby was a plus and viewing the fireworks from the dock was lots of fun. The majority of the time we had a good portion of the lake to ourselves for tubing! We would highly recommed this home to others and any time we had contact or conversation with the owners was a pleasure. We certainly would stay there again. Bob and Christine Cunningham

What an amazing house! The pictures don't do it justice. We had such a wonderful time. Everything we needed and more was at the house. The owner was just a phone call away and sovled the onlt problem we had immediately. I can't wait to stay here again!

Wonderful Home

My husband and I 'treated' ourselves to this beautiful home for a week, and it was a wonderful experience. The home had everything we needed and more: spectacular view, immaculate interior, luxury kitchen. The sound system was one of the highlights......music in any area(s), including the deck. (which made for very pleasurable evenings sitting outside) The owner met us upon check in, and helped us get familiar with what we needed to know to really enjoy the home. He left us with his cell phone in case we had any questions/problems (which we didn't), and that was a nice touch. If the opportunity presents itself, we would love to return.

Our family of 13 just spent a wonderful week at your lovely lake house on Seneca Lake. We had a great time! The kids loved the paddle boat. We enjoyed the large kitchen, beautiful bathrooms and lovely deck. We enjoyed smores around the fire pit and visited many local attractions, including Watkins Glen, Wineries, Amish Store, pick your own strawberries, The Windmill and various farmers markets. We made many family memories - thanks for letting us use your lovely lake house!!
