Our home is located 400 Feet from the Windansea Beach, the most beautiful beach on the California coast. Although considered by many locals to be the most scenic beaches in the San Diego area, Windansea Beach is a jewel that has not been discovered by tourists. Our beach is enjoyed primarily by neighborhood residents, runners, walkers, and surfers who enjoy the beauty of its sandy and smooth-carved rocky features and its great surf. The 'Shack' (a palapa) stands in the center of the beach atop a rocky promontory, and serves as the neighborhood's unofficial landmark.

40th celebration

What a beautiful house and location! You walk out of the front door and only a short walk is the beach, sea views to die for and a constant view of surfers. The house was perfect for our 40th celebration, the restaurant recommendations were spot on. We had a special meal booked at George's at the cove, perfect views, excellent service and wonderful food! The Cottage and Brockton Villa are a must for breakfast along with Isabel's cantina down at Misson. The Deli, Girard's Gourmet was perfect for quiches and salads for lite lunch. We also loved Burger Lounge for a casual quick evening burger, must share a half and half along with the milk shakes. piatti down at the shores was a great Italian, we went twice in three nights!

Going back to the house, everything was perfect!! The master suite and bathroom is gorgeous, the rain shower is superb, the bathroom has given me design ideas for my next house in England! We thoroughly enjoyed all seating areas, sunshine at all times of he day as so many little seating areas!

Robin and Tony were so helpful and responsive, Robin gets back to you immediately if you have any questions and their organisation within the house is brilliant. Everything is clearly labelled so nothing is confusing......only one complaint, we wanted to stay longer!

We really recommend this property to anyone wanting luxury close to the beach and within walking distance of great restaurants and shops.

Our time in La Jolla couldn't have been better! The townhome was beautiful and very well maintained. It was so close to the beach, we had to walk to watch the sunset nightly! What a gorgeous area. The owners couldn't have been more accommodating. Would love to go back!

Our family of six with four young kids were looking for a relaxing home base for our recent spring break. We hoped for a good location with updated amenities and ease of access to the beach and other sites.

Robin and Tony's home could not have met our needs any better. It is a gorgeous fresh and sparkling clean home with a stunning master bath and a fully stocked kitchen ready for all of your cooking needs. The outdoor space is soothing and pretty. The best aspect for us was probably the fact that the ocean was one minute from the front door. You need not feel like a tourist when you can enjoy La Jolla from this relaxing street. Great restaurants are within walking distance and we were a short drive to SeaWorld, Legoland and other family friendly destinations. Don't miss the opportunity. Robin is gracious with suggestions for fabulous walks to enjoy as well. Great family get-away!

Great place to stay in La Jolla

As the other reviews say, this home is a wonderful place. It has a beautiful contemporary design and the location is fantastic. Windansea beach is literally one minute away. It is a lovely beach and our children (2 and 7) loved to play in the sand and the waves. La Jolla Cove with stores and restaurants is about a 20 to 30 minute walk. The owners work hard to make your stay as pleasant and easy as possible. They are also very responsive. On another trip to La Jolla, I would definitely want to stay here again.

Fabulous place to stay

We spent a wonderful thanksgiving here with our two teenaged kids and two good friends from LA. It was the perfect base. Luxurious bed/bathrooms. Lots of comfortable space to hang out and relax after a busy day. Well equipped open kitchen for our meals. Robin was great to work with and provided many good suggestions for hikes, activities and restaurants. We love this part of La Jolla. The beach is just a few steps down the road, has great rock pools at low tide, and always plenty of surfers to watch (and envy). Windandsea is less crowded and touristy, but it's just an easy cycle or short drive to get to the shops/restaurants/seals and sea lions in the La Jolla town center. Our kids went surfing a couple of times and loved it. Can't wait to come back again.
