Thanks for a comfortable stay. The apartment was great, central & well equipped. Thankfully the heating worked as it was cold and rainy. Thanks to the greeter for helping with any problem we had. We highly recommend it!!

We stayed for 2 nights in Sept 2012. Love this place! Cozy, clearn, comfortable. We slept in the front bedroom facing the street and slept just fine. It wasn't as noisy as described in other posts. We thought the kitchen, bath, extra bedroom were all very accommodating. The highlight for us was the rooftop deck. Oh my, just beautiful! As noted in other posts, yes, you need to be courteous to others in building, but that doesn't get in the way of enjoying a great city from the rooftop.
We rented bikes while in Barcelona and found it the best way to get around. We rented fold up bikes so we could fold and store in apartment for the night. The location of this apartment is in walking distance to most areas. We wanted to lap swim in the Olympic Pool and took a bus back (the 55) that dropped us right near the apartment.
I would highly recommend this apartment!!
I stayed in this apartment for a week at the end of August/early September 2012. I was visiting Barcelona for the first time with my husband and three year old son. From the very start, Lauren and her team were very easy to deal with - prompt communication over email, information and recommendations as needed. Payment was a breeze and there were no hassles with security deposits etc. The apartment is exactly as pictured but those of you are not familiar with the magic of the wide-angle lens, please be aware that certain spaces are smaller than you think looking at the pictures. In this case, the bathroom is pretty tight, particularly in trying to bathe a toddler. Every other room was perfectly sized for us. The building itself is lovely on the outside as well as inside. I loved the mosaic floors throughout the apartment. The balcony is as lovely as it looks and I was glad we chose to stay in an apartment facing the street. The downside, of course, is the street noise, which didnt bother us in the day but I found it impossible to sleep in the master bedroom after giving it a solid try on the first night. We improvised and huddled up in the second bedroom after that - not ideal but better than staying up all night. Sheets, towels etc provided were adequate even if a little tired looking through wear. My biggest disappointment was the kitchen ware. While I really enjoyed having a full kitchen for the duration of our stay, the pots and pans provided definitely left something to be desired. I did dislike how old and 'used' they looked. The terrace is lovely and actually bigger than it appears in the pictures. There is an issue with noise in this whole building though, so if you have three year old running around on the terrace, chances are the residents on the floor below are not going to be very happy. The location of the apartment worked well for us. My son loved playing in the little park near the metro station. Plus, we really felt like locals living in Barcelona.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay here and liked out experience working with Negre Apartments. I would recommend this apartment and will not hesitate to stay here again.
A lovely, small apartment in a great neighborhood. The greeter, Melanie, was very helpful and knowledgeable. We enjoyed walking in the area and the restaurants were plentiful. Our favorites were "La Muscleria" and "Simbiosis". Public transportation was close by, as were numerous attractions. We would recommend this property to our friends and would not hesitate to stay here in the future.
