Bungalow, 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-6)

This is a 1943 beach bungalow that has been completely remodeled inside and out with a designers flair. With its easy breezy relaxed beach decor and solid wood floors you are truly transported back to simpler times the minute you walk through the doors. The kitchen has a light and bright retro beachy theme with an authentic 1950's O'Keefe and Merritt stove/oven with a center heating element to make your favorite pancakes on. However all the modern day technology is available too, ie. 46' LCD screen with cable, DVD, and dvr available plus wifi so you can bring your own laptop. The new bathroom features a claw foot tub/shower to relax in after a day at the beach with an endless supply of on demand hot water already set at a comfortable 115 degrees. All you have to do is flip the handle.

The front yard has been professionally landscaped including a 'sandy beach' area with two Adirondack chairs so you can view the endless parade of sailboats and windsurfers. The back yard is fenced in to provide safety for your children away from the street. The back yard has a small grassy area, hot tub, sunning deck, patio and bbq.

If you choose to do nothing but read on your vacation we've taken care of that too. There is a small library of paperback books available for you to choose from. And if you bring a book you've already read and no longer want feel free to participate in the book exchange. Take a book/leave a book.

There are a few restaurants within a few minutes including a short walk over the bridge to the Barefoot Beach Club where you can enjoy your food while observing the sharks and fish swimming along in their enclosed waterway that surrounds the outside eating patio.

I love having a place in San Diego I can go to any time and love sharing it with other families who love staying in a home away from home. The minute I walk through the door I immediately feel relaxed and know I'm on vacation. I have a ton of books there and have fun just picking one out to read each time I go. But anything I want to do seems so accessible there. I can watch the sail boats right outside my door every day or rent one if I want to do it myself. I can kayak. Or take a bike ride down to the beach but I don't have to put up with the parking problems. At night I can watch the fireworks at Sea World from my front yard. I love it there and want other people to enjoy it too.

Location. And views. San Diego is a fun, active community with the best weather in the country. We are so close to all things San Diego. Right on the waters of Mission Bay in Pacific Beach, access to boardwalk just across the street. A short drive to downtown, Coronado Island, LaJolla, Sea World, the list goes on. The best of everything. A quiet neighborhood within minutes of the freeways and beaches. A true getaway.

What makes this bungalow unique

It's cozy and comfortable. Great views. It's been recently renovated from top to bottom, inside and out. The back yard has a bbq and hot tub. So after a long day at the beach, which is nearby, I look forward to relaxing in my own back yard. The boardwalk to the beach is right outside my door where I can ride my bike or walk my dog.

We stayed here most of spring break with our 8 year old son. The place is simply amazing, everything you need, perfectly clean, great location, bikes, hot tub, comfortable beds, etc. Just quit your search and book this property - if you are so lucky to find it available on your dates! Terri works very hard to make sure your stay is perfect and our stay couldn't have been better.

Charming and homey

When we pulled up outside the bungalow, we thought it was cute. When we went inside, we upgraded that assessment to charming. There were personal touches, obvious efforts to keep things feeling like a home away from home, and even the kitchen was well supplied with spices and more than the minimum cooking hardware. We had dinner on the patio out back, let our toddler out to play in the fenced back yard, loved being less than 10 minutes to SeaWorld, and had amazing support from the owner before we arrived. She helped us find local stores that would help us feel our food-allergic toddler easily. Loved this little place!

We really enjoyed this rental home. Very comfortable, rooms were great and beds were very comfortable. Loved having a hot tub and the yard was great for our toddler to play in. The bay view from the front door was beautiful. You'll be glad you stayed here

I can't possibly say enough about the stay I had at Terri's home on Mission Bay, it was a beautiful home in an incredible location with fantastic views! This is the true meaning of a perfect get away. Clean and modern accommodations close to everything San Diego. The beach is literally across the street.
I felt like I was in my own home, nothing was overlooked right down to the fresh flowers.

Wow! I love this place! It truly is a Bungalow on the Beach. It is charming, eclectic, cozy and comfortable. As a fellow VRBO vacation rental owner, I really appreciate all the thoughtful touches that the owner has added. The leaded glass in the front door, the adirondack chairs on the "mini-beach" in the front yard and the clever period design of the over-sized and luxurious bathroom. The kitchen appears to be very old until you realize that in fact it is new, simply designed to look old. Even the front of the refrigerator looks to be from the 40's or 50's until you open it and realize that it is a modern appliance. The center piece to the kitchen is a stunning vintage, fully functional O'Keefe & Merritt stove and oven. The pictures really don't do this place justice. The highest compliment I can give this home is that I could see myself living here!
