around the bend is lovely, secluded Ledgemere beach where you can
stretch out on the sand, take a swim or take small children wading
in the gently lapping waves. Take a bold oceanfront 'rock walk'
along the granite bluffs or launch your kayak to explore the harbor
or ocean. When you get hungry for lunch or dinner stroll down the
lane for a delicious fresh seafood feast, from lobster to crab rolls
to hot dogs, the whole family will find something to please. Top it
off with a scrumptious gourmet ice cream cone! Better yet send the
kids over to get the food while you relax and watch from the third
floor deck taking in the spectacular views of harbor and ocean.
Catch the excitement of the locals when you see lobstermen land their catch of the day, or bring in a trophy tuna
being hoisted onto the dock at the pier--- just 300 feet from the home!.
You and your family can enjoy your own fishing luck at the same pier where very productive mackerel fishing is the rule! If you prefer heavier surf swimming or fishing Reid State Park is a 5 minute drive away. Bring the boogie board!

Have 'lobstahs', homemade ice cream and other great foods on the
wharf. You can watch lobster men and fishermen unload their daily
catch right from your deck.
Reid State Park (2.5 miles). 1 of Maine's best sand beaches
