Welcome to the dream cabin on Robinson Pond. Built in 2010 to feel like a rustic cabin on the water it also boasts all the conveniences of a modern home - superb insulation and great AC make it a year round getaway.
Exposed wood and cathedral ceilings throughout give the cabin its charm. Picture windows in the living/dining room allow great views across the pond and down to the dock.
Each season is different on Robinson Pond, but whatever the time of year our cozy cabin is an ideal place to relax, re-charge and watch nature play its role.
You may be cuddled up with a book by the fireplace in winter looking over a frozen white landscape, exploring the pond and the river in Spring as the eagles re-appear and the trees begin to bloom, sunbathing on the private dock in Summer listening to trout jumping or planning a hike in the fall to experience the amazing foliage as geese migrate across the pond.
Looking out on the water it’s hard to imagine that NYC is only 2 hours away!

Absolutely lovely retreat. Comfortable and well-supplied. Quiet and serene location. Perfect home base to make day trips to Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, Great Barrington and Lenox, Bash Bish Falls and lots of other attractions. Local sweet corn was superb!
This is a wonderful location if you want to tour the local area or if you want to "stay put" to enjoy the peace and quiet. If you want a respite to work on that "life decision" - you have found the perfect spot. There are comfortable chairs and a couch in the living room, and the same on the deck. Try them all! I had the best sleep in months in the bed. For that matter, I had a spa-worthy soaking in the shower. Bathroom is clean and has modern fixtures. The cottage offers curious surprises that pop up at every turn. The chalet is decorated with eclectic pieces...a tulip art piece, a European map, some match box cars on a ledge.
Owner was helpful in answering questions about the property. Easy maneuverability to house and lake. Parking and house are on the street level. Take 2-steps into the house by the back door, or by a convenient ramp to the back porch. A new set of stairs takes you down to the lake level. The canoe is wide and stable for adults, and life vests available. Don't forget to order your NY state fishing license online before you arrive. Canoeing on the lake is easy with gentle waters. Enjoy the bass and perch. Lake hint: wear Croc shoes if you get squeamish about stepping into lake.
Some unique finds on this trip were the shops and restaurants in Hillsdale, NY. Visit Boxwood Linen (open Fri, Sat,Sun) and enjoy "farm to table' breakfast or lunch at Crossroads Food Shop on lower level, and General Store.
on street level. Took a ride to get coffee at Camp Hill Village Bakery at "milking" time and had to wait until the herd of cows headed to a new pasture.
Challenging golf course at Copake Country Club. Don't miss roadside MX Morningstar Farm stand and other fresh corn stands.
Impeccably kept and well constructed cottage on a peaceful lake. Hospitable hosts, and beautiful area!
What an amazing gem on a beautiful lake! Canoeing, fishing, lazily floating at the swimming beach. The cabin is perfect and our stay could not have been more comfortable. I will dream about my next visit!
What a great place to relax and "get away from it all". The cabin is absolutely beautiful; fully appointed, modern and incredibly comfortable. And the view of the lake is perfect as well. While Copake is remote and charming, there are great restaurants, shopping, movies, farm stands, etc. just a short drive away in Millerton. Finally, the owner, Tony, was helpful, responsive, and very accommodating to our every question and request. I highly recommend the Cabin on Robinson Pond as an ideal destination for a relaxing, peaceful time. We hope to return sometime soon.
This year we have decided to have a longer stay in north America
For a French Family like us ( 2 ad + 2 teens), who spent their summer holidays in north america almost every two years, this was one of our best experiences.
After a 5 days stay in NYC walking a lot, the place was the perfect place to rest our feet ;-). we really had two weeks of paradise there.
You're in the middle of the trees, facing an awesome view of the lake, all sort of birds around you (we even saw a bald eagle an ospreys).
The cabin is really cosy, very clean, all the equipement is available and very well decorated. We didn't miss anything.
The patio is ideally arranged to enjoy it drinking your coffee in the morning, reading, or having dinner in the sunset.
You can also paddle in the lake with the canoe as you ave direct access to the lake.
The area in beautiful, there are wonderful trails all around there with wonderful states parks, you can really enjoy the beauty three states, Massachussetts, NY & Connecticut.
You have services not so far, supermarket, restaurants... and you can also plan days return to Boston or NYC as we did.
I can imagine how nice is can can be to spend weekends there when you live in NYC.
From the beginning of the transaction to the end of the stay, Tony, our Host, was absolutely nice, always available to answer to all questions very quickly.
We definitely recommend this wonderful place
Merci Beaucoup Tony!!!!
