Aloha In Tahoe!
To anyone reading this review, and considering Heavenly Vista as your home away from home...look no further, this is THE one! You will not find a more accomodating and gracious host than Bill. My planning process was seamless with Bill's communication and the knowledge he shared with the surrounding areas.
The home itself is an absolute splendor to stay in. My family of 2 adults and 4 children, and my brother's family of 2 adults and 2 children, had more than enough room to spread out. One of the most enjoyable parts of our time there was the kitchen and dining areas. The kitchen is so well equipped, we cooked almost every meal there. And every night, when the 4 little ones were tucked away, our 2 older children and the adults enjoyed an evening of board games at the dining table. The master suite is a retreat in itself, and the beds...omg!!! It was a challenge getting out of them to hit the slopes early! Did I mention the not 1, but 2 jacuzzi's we took advantage of?!? Although the tempratures were a little chilly for this family from Hawaii, there was no way we were gonna pass on soaking in that hut tub till our skins were pruned!
The location of the home is literally minutes away from the center of it all. What a convenience that is. We walked at the Heavenly Villiage, played and dined at the nearby casinos, and took a short 30 minute drive out to Kirkwood for two days of snowboarding. Btw, if your looking for an AWESOME restaurant. "Gi Fu Loh" in Harrah's serves amazing chinese cuisine, and the atmosphere is modern and upscale, with reasonable pricing.
All in all, my family and I had an amazing time there. We played, we relaxed, and just enjoyed our surroundings and each other. This trip was a big deal for me, my 4 girls are getting older, and opportunities like this won't last forever. It was a year of planning and saving, and thank my stars I found Bill and his beautiful home. We will have the memories of sharing a Christmas holiday with love and gratitude and new experiences.
