A Wonderful Villa!

What was originally planned to be a long weekend of skiing in the Blue Ridge Mountains, turned into a last minute stay at the beach as unseasonably warm weather derailed our plans. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the outcome!
My husband, two young daughters and I, spent a long weekend at this lovely villa at Mariner’s Walk, which we were familiar with from our prior stays in Wild Dunes. The oceanfront complex is conveniently located within Wild Dunes, and has one of the largest beaches within the resort. The villa was great! It was clean, comfortable, had a well equipped kitchen, and felt bigger than the typical one bedroom/sofa sleeper places we have rented previously, as it has a two floor layout. The linens (sheets and towels) were high quality, and my daughters even commented on how big and soft the towels were. I must mention, these are definitely not beach towels, so bring your own! Although we weren’t able to swim, as the pool was undergoing a complete renovation, the near 80 degree temp and sunny weather allowed us to spend much of our time on the beach, which is in very close proximity to the villa. We loved sitting on the porch, which has an oceanview, where we enjoyed our breakfast/lunches each day. The owners (John and Lisa) were very receptive to our many questions about the villa prior to our stay, and they even contacted us following our arrival to ensure that we had settled in and were doing well. I would definitely recommend this villa to others, both couples as well as those with two or less children, and we hope to come back.
