House, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8-10)

This chalet style home has a true Lake Tahoe ambiance. It is located near everything (e.g., 5 mi to Heavenly Ski Resort and Stateline world class entertainment, restaurants and nightlife), yet in a wooded area near a meadow with views of Heavenly and a small lake view through the trees. It is in an upscale neighborhood which has underground utilities and custom homes. A beautiful bike path meanders through the neighborhood and adjacent meadow. As an added bonus, it is one of the first neighborhoods in Tahoe to get plowed after a snow storm.

The living room has a tall (soaring over 20 feet) knotty-pine open beam ceiling, wood-burning Swedish cone fireplace (with a gas starter for ease in getting the fire going), comfortable sectional sofa, leather recliner, game cabinet, cable TV with DVD, and wonderful floor-to-ceiling double-paned windows. In winter, it is the ideal place for watching the snow fall on the tall pines while you sip hot chocolate after skiing or snowboarding. In summer, it is also the ideal place for having a BBQ with friends and family as you enjoy fresh mountain air.

The charming cabin themed kitchen has everything you would need including full size fridge, stove with oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffeemaker, blender, toaster, ample counter top space, and all cookware, plates, and utensils.

The downstairs master includes a comfortable log-pole canopy queen bed & Tahoe pine furnishings. Cabin themed rocking chair, log-pole lamps and cabin decor set the tone for your mountain getaway. The second bedroom also has a log-pole queen bed, and this bedroom has a sliding glass door leading out to a raised trex deck in the fenced backyard (in winter, build a snowman or two in the backyard!) Also downstairs is one of two full bathrooms, as well as a laundry area including a newer washer and dryer.

Upstairs you will find a large yet cozy bedroom area with 4 log-pole single beds, (as well as a double futon in case you need extra sleeping accommodation). The upstairs is styled in Americana-cabin style with beautiful quilts and also a private desk and chair area where you can set up a laptop and enjoy free WiFi internet access. It also has a small tv separate from the downstairs TV area. For convenience there is an upstairs full bathroom with tub and shower. Fresh towels will be laid out for you.

The cabin has a charming, Tahoe-style atmosphere with knotty-pine ceilings throughout the home, views of the mountains and a peek through the trees of Lake Tahoe. It is truly in a wonderful location, which you have to experience to appreciate. The best part is you have all of the comforts and conveniences of home in one of the most beautiful places on earth - Lake Tahoe.

Why Lori chose Angora Highlands

I bought this home because of the beautiful location near Lake Tahoe, access to winter & summer sporting areas, and world class entertainment. I have always found serenity and peace in the Lake Tahoe area, and I chose a home in a neighborhood that has Tahoe mountain views and a peek of the lake through the tall green pine trees. This home is accessible, relaxing, and convenient to everything Lake Tahoe has to offer.

What makes this house unique

Some of the unique benefits include feeling 'away from it all' while you watch the blue jays in the pine trees or the gorgeous mountain views. Yet, this home has easy access to shopping, whether it be the 7-11 around the corner, the Safeway nearby, or factory stores at the 'Y'. It also has access to recreation areas, beaches, skiing, gaming, movie theaters, spas, and even blockbuster video if all you want to do is stay in and watch a movie. It is truly a place to relax, enjoy friends and family, and make fond memories.

There is a recreation area nearby with lake front BBQs. Around the corner is PUSH fitness & day spa which offers day passes if you want to work out or get a massage. In summer the nearby recreation center offers a pool.

We stayed in this cabin recently. Four adults and four kids. There was plenty of room for all of us. The house was warm and cozy. The listing description was very accurate and so are the photos. The place was clean and the owner was very nice to work with. We have stayed here before and will stay again.

Charming Tahoe Cabin

This cabin is charming and comfortable. It has all the necessary appliances such as dishwasher, washer/dryer. woodstove, grill etc... The owner has added so many warm and personal touches. She is easy to work with and renting from her is stress free. The cabin is perfect for families. This is the only place we rent from. We come back year after year. There is a beautiful meadow to hike in and you are five minutes from everything. I highly recommend this cabin.

Nice cozy house. Close to shops, restaurants, ski resort and Lake. Well maintained. Quiet neighborhood. Children had lot of fun with all the snow in the backyard during our stay.
