I bought this townhouse in 1995 and have dedicated many years restoring and renovating it. It's a charmer.

Lucia purchased this apartment in 1995

It is a great investment opportunity.

Having a pied-a-terre in the Big Apple.

A REAL FIND

  • 5 of 5
We stayed here for a week with our 2 teenagers for our first trip to NYC. We were delighted to stay in Manhattan for a reasonable price; very nice having a view of the Empire State Building, too. It was an easy walk to the subway for our many excursions. And coming "home" to such a spacious, comfortable apartment was a real treat. We could all spread out to recharge in our own space. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had everything you could possibly need, and the outside terrace was a real bonus. If we are lucky enough to visit New York again, we would definitely stay here again.

EXCEPTIONAL

  • 5 of 5
All the great reviews below are 100% accurate and I can only add to them by saying that Lucia was extremely accommodating, pleasant and responsive. We had to delay our trip due to an illness in the family and Lucia allowed us to work different dates nearly a year later. It was worth the wait. The apartment was perfect for our stay – spacious, well stocked with linens, appliances, utensils, etc. The back deck was a perfect urban oasis. We spent hours back there as well! Convenient to everything we wanted to do. Trattoria Belvedere next door and Vezzo across the street were exceptional places to eat close by. Citibike right around the corner for quick rides around the City, ESB couple blocks from the apartment and visible from the front window, Short walk to Grand Central, Highline Park, East River Bike Path… Thank You so much!!!

HAPPY RENTER FROM SC

  • 5 of 5
We stayed at Lucia’s place for a week with our grown children and their spouses (6 people in all). The accommodations were perfect for us. Our favorite things about the apartment were the two clean bathrooms, comfortable king size bed, walk-in closet, outside veranda, large kitchen, single set of stairs, charming décor and neighborhood location. It was nice to be able to spread out in such a large apartment, especially by NYC standards. Lucia was easy to deal with in making arrangements for our stay and in meeting our requests. We loved the Italian restaurant right next door and the Asian place across the street. These are two of many restaurants offering all kinds of cuisines within just 2-3 blocks. There were two nice grocery stores within 2-3 blocks as well. The subway is also 2-3 blocks away, and we felt safe walking there day or night. We have already recommended the apartment wholeheartedly to a friend planning a trip to NYC later this year, and we hope to have the opportunity to stay here again.

WHAT A TREAT!

  • 5 of 5
Five ladies (myself, my two daughters and two grown grandaughters) stayed here for four nights for a first time ever trip to NY. There was more than enough room for all of us and so much more welcoming every evening than hotel rooms! Lots and lots of places to eat nearby and a list is provided as well as a stack of take out and delivery menus. I admit we only used the kitchen for coffee but we could have easily eaten in. We are all from very rural Washington state so I doubt if we will eat Afghani food again anytime soon. Subway station very near and easy to hail a taxi right out front. The front bedroom was indeed a little noisy for these country girls but no one wanted to move and give up the spectacular view.

FIVE STAR PLUS!

  • 5 of 5
What a lovely and charming "Home in Manhattan"! Delightful owner and very pleasant and helpful housekeeper. My three friends and I met for a "girls week out". I won't repeat all of the wonderful comments below. Just will say we could not have been happier. We were caught in winter rain and a heavy snowfall during our stay and our apartment always seemed welcoming and warm. Only suggestion....................the pictures do not do this apartment justice. It is far more lovely than they show. Don't hesitate to stay here. In addition to comfort and aesthetic appeal, it is probably the best bargain in Manhattan!

CHARMING HOME FROM HOME, WONDERFUL SERVICE

  • 5 of 5
Christmas in New York is bound to be magical and having a warm, comfortable, homey place to stay where we could eat in, relax or just sleep made the entire trip even more special. From the view of the Empire State Building you know you are in a very central location in a quiet, popular residential area. It is much cozier than staying in a hotel and definitely more of an apartment feel -- extremely clean, comfy beds, loads of towels, NY plumbing, creaking floors, enough kitchen equipment to put together a meal and an extremely useful washer drier. Most of all the owner and her team were incredibly helpful, always available and we are already recommending this to our friends.... Look forward to staying there again!
