PIED-A-TERRE

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 pre-teen kids) went to New York for a wedding and stayed for the 10 days following, since it was spring break. We wanted more space than a hotel room could offer and boy, did this place deliver! After long days of sightseeing, we were able to come back and relax in the living room, or sit and play cards at the dining room table, or make a quick meal in the kitchen while watching TV. It was so homey! We were even able to invite some relatives and friends who were in town for the wedding to come for dinner and had plenty of space to entertain. If it had been just a bit warmer, we would have been able to dine out on the terrace as well.

The apartment has every amenity you could want, including a washer and dryer with laundry soap and fabric softener. It is close to transportation and walking distance to so many fun things to see and do. We enjoyed many of the restaurants that are steps from the front door and my husband had a great time perusing the aisles of Fairway market, which is just down the street. We stayed on the first floor, up one flight of steps. If steps are an issue for you, be aware that the building does not have an elevator. But it didn't bother us. Also, the photos listed on this site are of two or three apartments, not all of one (just so you know).

The beds are super comfy and there are plenty of linens, blankets, towels and extra pillows, My son especially loved laying in bed every night and staring at the Empire State Building outside his window.

Lucia is wonderful to work with and clearly takes pride in the apartments she is renting. She is easy to get a hold of and is really helpful.

Safe, comfortable, homey and in a great location, this is an excellent place to stay when visiting New York. We highly recommend it!

This was the perfect place for a group of girls sharing beds! What we loved about it was that when we were all getting ready for dinner we could shout at each other across the apartment to give opinions on our clothes, hair and makeup.

The keys were very easy to use and never got stuck! This is always a problem with NYC apartments so that was a big relief for us.

Beds very comfortable, extra blankets and towels also. Good experience!

I once again stayed at this fabulous townhome for another long stay (this time 11 days!). I come to NYC often for business and this townhome is always my FIRST choice! After a long day of work, it is such a relief to come back to such a homey and comfortable apartment at the end of the day. I’ve stayed in all of the apartments now and each one upon check-in is always immaculately clean and well-appointed for my stay. I couldn’t recommend this house more; working with Lucia the owner is always an absolute pleasure as well. Staying here continues to be a GREAT experience! If you are looking for an alternative to NYC hotels, this is the place! I highly recommend this home – and I look forward to staying there again (and again, and again …)!
