The Catalina cottage is a two bedroom cottage located on the south shores of Lake George. Walk out the front door to a great view of Lake George, elevated wood deck with a picnic table and bench provided for your comfort. This cottage is situated atop of a 15-foot-high bluff overlooking scenic Lake George.

Lake George is a 134 acre all sports lake with quiet time (no wake) from 7:30 PM-11:00 AM (Great for fishing or sleeping in). The lakefront swimming area has a sandy bottom with a gradual drop off. Fishing includes bluegills, perch, rockbass, crappie, largemouth bass and pike. The Catalina cottage is located on a paved, dead end road (great for long walks). Downtown Lake George is within walking distance. There you will find great food and spirits at the Swiss Inn, as well as several party stores for your immediate needs. Free public boat launch is available, to launch your boat, pontoon or jetski.

Amenities included: Apple computer with free wireless internet access, phone with free local and long distance calls to the contiguous US, 30' aluminum dock, fire pit and gas grill.

Eight guest limit at the Catalina, four adults max; renters must be a minimum 25 years of age, unless accompanied by an adult guardian. This cabin is pet and smoke free. Check-in time 3:00PM and check-out time is 12:00 noon.

The Catalina was such a CLEAN, relaxing, quiet stay. It is stocked with tupperware, cutting boards, crock pots and any other kitchen item you could think of. All you have to do is pack your suits, shorts, tanning lotions and bug spray. The lake is very clean and the water was perfect temperature. It was very nice to have the internet access and telephone.
We would definitely recommend the Catalina for a quiet retreat.

Great Week at Lake George

The last time we were at Lake George was ten years ago, way too long, great place to relax. There were seven of us (Grampa, Grama, Daughter, Son in Law and three Grand kids) and we all fit just fine. The cabin is on a bluff over looking the lake facing North East, in the morning you can walk out on the deck just a few steps down from the front porch have coffee and have some quite time just looking out over the lake. We all had a great time swimming and floating in the water all day as well as the camp fires at night. Great time, great week, great place, thanks.

July 4th, 2010 trip to the Catalina

Well i would like to say our trip to the catalina was awsome. It was our baby Kendall's first vacation, and we couldnt of found a more baby friendly house. The Catalina was very CLEAN. It exceded our expectations. The view from the dining room is breath taking. The lake is very nice. It has a great sandy beach that gradually drops off to deeper water. It was nice to dock our boat at the dock provided. The best part of the lake is that it has a no wake period from 7:30 pm to 11:00 am so not much noise or activity on the water except for pontoon boats. The people in the area are extreamly nice. Its a great place to have a vacation and get away from the stress of everyday life. And the hospitality of the Alfaro's is priceless. They go out of their way to make sure your stay at the Catalina is the best it can be. We will be back to the catalina in the future. And dont hesitate stay at the Catalina cause it is worth every penny. Thanks again, for a great time!!!!

family vacation 2010

Thank you for a great week. The cottage was perfect for our family, the kids felt right at home. we had a peaceful week and enjoyed lots of sunshine and family memories. The deck was amazing with great morning views and starlit nights. Everyone was very friendly, and the local store was very convenient.
