The location of this condo is awesome. It is downtown on Lady Bird Lake. The building itself is funky 70's, but it's clean and charming. And Austin,Texas... well, ain't no better city in the world!

The condo is in downtown Austin but feels like a woodsy private retreat. The location couldn't be better. It is smack-dab in the middle of the city, between SoCo and 6th Street -- Austin's two most popular bar and restaurant districts. It is on Lady Bird Lake, on the hike and bike trail, and within walking distance to several parks, the capitol building, convention center, art museums, SXSW festival, ACL festival, Barton Springs pool, mini golf, and many bars and restaurants. The university is about 20 blocks away.

Something you don't want to miss: in just ten minutes, you can walk to see the famous 1.5 million bats that fly from beneath the Congress Avenue Bridge every evening at sunset! Amazing!

  • The bathroom is sparkling clean, with a sink, toilet, and shower/tub. The shower has excellent water pressure with a big, sunflower shower head. Neutrogena soap and shampoo is provided. There are plenty of clean bath and pool towels in the cabinet.

  • The bedroom opens onto the balcony and is wonderfully bright and airy. In the morning, the crepe myrtle outside the balcony fills with songbirds! The king bed is a Stearns & Foster mattress with down comforter and 600-thread count sheets. The bed is amazing. Everyone loves it!

Notes: The balcony is great. It is adorned with healthy potted plants and has two comfy papasan chairs. At night, the string lights provide a wonderful soft light. It is a great place to relax and enjoy a private outdoor sanctuary.

Wonderful Condo!

This is a beautiful condo. The moment you enter it's an oasis from the outside world. Bright, sunny, and cheerful are the words that immediately come to mind. My husband and I were fortunate to stay here during the Formula 1 Race. Prime location with easy access to restaurants, shops, downtown and the Interstate. We enjoyed going to the Lady Bird Lake and the view of Austin. Emily is great to work with and a gracious host. The bed is the best we've ever slept in. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed.

Little gem in Austin -- an oasis of zen downtown

I only stayed here for a short week and it was way too shot because this place was amazing. Once you step inside this colorful condo, the outside world simply ceases to exist. Still, South Congress is just a few minutes away and all the buzz of 6th is a short bus ride from there.

The owner is an artist and decorated and designed the condo herself and that gives the place a great personal and positive vibe.

I absolutely loved the huge bed. It was so comfy and I just didn't want to get up! But my favorite thing about the place was the balcony. The lights, candles the chairs, the swing. I spend a lot of time out there; just reading, listening to music or simply enjoying the peace and quiet with a glass of wine or one of the Belgian beers the owner kindly left in the fridge for her guests.

Wow, what a great stay!

We stayed at this great condo for a weekend getaway. Emily was there to greet us when we arrived and was a great host. The condo is perfect in every way. Very clean, comfortable and perfect location. Easy 10 min. walk to all things to do in downtown and soco. We will always stay here for our next trips to Austin, for sure!

We arrived a bit late, but Emily was right there to meet us and show us around the place. The place is decorated just how you would expect for Austin. We felt at home the minute we arrived. Emily even stocked the fridge with some nice beverages! We enjoyed a very relaxing weekend there at the pool, and the bed was the best. I think we spent more time laying around than going anywhere because it was just so comfortable. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Austin for the first time, or for the 30th time. Awesome place, awesome location, and even better host. Thanks again!

Even BETTER than a home away from home!

A friend and I really wanted to rent a HOME for SXSW instead of a boring old hotel. Boy did we find what we were looking for - and then some! Emily is incredibly welcoming and the apartment itself is so homey - in fact, I like it better than my own home! I am not exaggerating when I say that it truly felt like I was staying with a friend, but Emily is not intrusive in the least. She keeps the place stocked with food, drinks, toiletries, only asking that we throw a few bucks into the kitty for what we used. I can't express how great it was to NOT have to go to the store to stock up on food and to have a simple band aid in the medicine cabinet when needed. The balcony was such a great spot for some down time. We were a short walk to downtown and south congress hot spots. I can't recommend this place highly enough for anyone looking for a comfortable home away from home!
