House, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1.5+ Baths, (Sleeps 6-8)

Superbly comfortable Home and excellent value in South Breckenridge. We're located close to the slopes and downtown (4 miles/5 minute drive), but tucked in the woods for a relaxing getaway. The garage has plenty of space for 2 cars plus ski equipment so you won't need to dig your car out from the snow to head to town or the slopes. The kids will have room to explore on our 0.8 acre treed lot that borders the forest.

Come and relax in our comfy and peaceful home after hitting the slopes/trails of Breckenridge. The main level of the home will welcome you with a well-stocked and open kitchen area that opens up to the sun-lit dining room. Enjoy the warming afternoon sun while preparing meals for hungry skiiers/hikers. The living room, warmed by a newly installed gas fireplace, is the perfect place to relax and do some reading, sit around and chat, or catch a show on TV. We also have a study area with cable internet if you need to do some work or surf the net in a quiet location. Upstairs you'll find two very large and inviting bedrooms, outfitted with luxurious furnishings to pamper you. The beautiful vaulted ceilings with custom ceiling fans and skylights add to the relaxing ambiance...you're sure to get a perfect night's sleep.

The main attraction in winter is skiing on the famed ski slopes of Breckenridge. There is also cross country skiing, sledding and snowshoeing nearby. In summer the area boasts fabulous hiking trails, a bike trail that stretches from Breckenridge all the way to Vail and beyond, fishing in the local lake, boating/sailing on nearby Dillon reservoir, and many sporting events (running races, cycling events, etc.)

About The Owner

My husband and I moved to Denver from Australia in 1996 with a plan to stay for 3-5 years and then move back. We fell in love with the mountains (playground) of Colorado and decided not to move back. We purchased our vacation home so that we can enjoy the skiing, sledding, backpacking, bicycling and many other fun activities that Breckenridge has to offer with our two boys.

The Owner purchased this house in 2009
Why The Owner chose Blue River

Of all the mountain "fun spots" in Colorado...Breckenridge feels most like home to us. The town offers great dining and shopping without being "too fancy". There are many fun events happening in and around Breckenridge throughout the year and just about any outdoor sporting option you can think of. Our home is just outside the Breckenridge downtown area so we can easily enjoy the hustle and bustle of Breckenridge, but also escape to peace and quiet and have a place for the boys to run around and explore.

What makes this house unique

The property sits on 0.8 acres of wooded land exactly 4 miles from downtown Breckenridge...a great spot for kids to run around and explore. The home has a detached 2 car garage with plenty of room for "extra" equipment such as skis or other recreation equipment. There is also extra "parking space" outside the garage for boats, RVs, etc. The bedrooms have beautiful vaulted ceilings, plentiful closet space and custom ceiling fans which provide a comfort on hot summer days.

The town of Breckenridge/Breckenridge area hosts several fun events throughout the year, including an ice sculpting competition, Annual Oktoberfest, several outdoor sporting competitions (mountain bike races, road bicycle races, etc.) excellent hiking. Our property also has private fishing rights on the local lake for summer fishing.

Cabin was muy bien

The house felt like a log cabin, including furniture and decor. Excellent hot tub and heated outdoor stairs (smart).
I would recommend this for place for sure, it was about 5 min from downtown Breck,10 min from Frisco, and 20-30 min to Copper.

excellent ski vacation at Boots Cabin

My family spent a wonderful week at this cabin. It is well stocked, even has a printer that helped with getting the kids homework done. Nice hotub, the kids loved it. plenty of space in the yard for the kids to play. they loved the hockey table. The cabin is a short drive from town. although there was plenty of snow we did not need a 4WD as the cabin is off the main road. Breckenridge is a beautiful Victorian town with plenty to see and do. Don't hesitate to rent this cabin if you're a family of six and trying to find a cabin that has everything and won't break the bank. As i said befor the cabin has everything, just stop by Walmart in Frisco for groceries, as City Market in town is kind of expensive and have FUN! Thanks again to the owners for a wonderful weekend and being so attentive.

Our stay was delightful - close to Breckenridge and the slopes with a terrific hot tub for apres-ski. The kitchen was perfectly equipped and the office nook with wi-fi was handy for one of us who had to be online. The house was so clean and welcoming. Thank you so much for a lovely stay in Blue River. We would surely stay here again.

Comfortable home with no suprises

Wife and I spent 2 weeks in this quiet hassle free home with all the amenities necessary for easy living. Would be ideal for a family with little ones or just a couple, like us, looking to escape the heat of the summer. Would not recommend a stay for more than 2 adults due to bunk beds in the guest room although the living room couch does make into a comfortable bed.
Breckenridge is just short drive away for shopping and dining; hiking, biking and fishing are easily accessible as well.
Owners are responsive to any requests/questions. Would stay here again.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The house is so comfortable because of the beautiful decor, quality amenities and furniture, well-appointed kitchen, and the hot tub. It's far enough from town to be quiet, but close enough to get to town quickly. It also was very clean. It's a great house for those with kids. Personally, I'd love to live here if I could! This house is a classy place. The owners left very helpful information about the house, hiking, skiing, restaurants, etc. We hope to return soon!
