THE RIVER HOUSE ON THE EAST GALLATIN RIVER-FLYFISHER PARADISE

Bozeman House Rental Photos and Description

House, 2 Bedrooms + Bunk Area, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

The River House on the East Gallatin River is an incredible destination for fly fishing vacations, a reunion for families or friends, a quiet getaway for a couple, a ski vacation, or a peaceful retreat for an artist or writer. The River House is located on 20 acres with a 2/3 mile of the E. Gallatin River flowing through the property. This unique vacation property is private and peaceful and yet is within 15-20 minutes of the charming, historic western town of Bozeman and 10 minutes from the airport. Bozeman is a perfect base camp for enjoying an adventurous Montana vacation. The area is abundantly rich in designated blue ribbon trout streams and rivers, and a wide variety of amazing wildlife including elk, bear, antelope, mountain goats and bighorn sheep.

Yellowstone National Park, our nation's first with Old Faithful, bison, grizzly bears and wolves, is our nation's premier wildlife viewing destination and is located 90 miles to the south of Bozeman. The drive to Yellowstone National Park through the Gallatin Canyon (the setting for the movie 'A River Runs Through It') or through the Paradise Valley or over Beartooth Pass are three of the most beautiful drives in the U.S.

Fantastic winter recreation is located right outside of Bozeman's back door with Bridger Bowl, Big Sky and Moonlight Basin resorts all within a 30-60 minute drive. The area is also home to some of our nation's finest x-country skiing destinations as well with Bohart Ranch and Lone Mountain Ranch also close by. Come visit the best that Montana has to offer and make The River House at Penwell Bridge Farm your private vacation home while you are here.

Family birthday gathering

House is very clean and well maintained with all the kitchen items you could possibly need. Spacious decks, old growth shade trees, and a wonderful lawn down to the river. River provided relief from the heat and the lane is a great place to take a walk. Close to Bozeman but definitely rural and lovely. Deer everywhere. Most enjoyable.

Loved The River House

  • 5 of 5
We spent 4 nights at the River House in June with 4 adults and 2 kids and we loved it. The suite of twin beds in the basement was great for the kids and the surrounding property is beautiful. The house is set up nicely and well cared for. We especially loved the huge porch. Bozeman and the surrounding mountains offer plenty to keep you active. If we ever return to Bozeman we would certainly stay at the River House again!

The River House at Penwell Farm Bridge

  • 5 of 5
The week at The River House was an AWESOME experience for my family and me. We found the property to be in excellent condition, well maintained, clean, and family (child) friendly. The property owners (Fletcher Family) were wonderful hosts and very helpful in planning our activities during our stay in Montana. The views around the property were gorgeous and the E. Gallatin River was a lot of fun for myself and the boys. There were all types of wildlife to be viewed including deer, turkeys, pheasants, and numerous other birds. Nights on the back porch were spectacular with views of The Big Sky and cool mountain breezes. Day trips (sight-seeing, hiking, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, zip lining, shopping, fishing, etc.) to the Gallatin River, Gallatin National Forest, Yellowstone National Park, Bozeman, Big Sky, and Bridger Mountains were some of the best family time spent in years. We sincerely look forward to visiting again and would certainly recommend The River House for your Montana experience!

Amazing Place

  • 5 of 5
We just returned from a week at the River House. It was fabulous. A slice of paradise tucked into a beautiful part of Montana. It was close to everything, yet far enough away to get away from the hustle of town. The fishing was great right out the front door, and the kids loved swimming in the stream out front. It was a fabulous time!!!

We loved staying at River House!

  • 5 of 5
We really enjoyed staying at River House. The house is roomy and very comfortable. The property has a beautiful creek running through it. We especially loved the outdoor activities for our son. There is a tree house, trampoline and a slide. You can tell the homeowners love kids. We would definitely stay at River House again. Thanks again Fletcher family!

We attended a wedding in Bozeman and our group was made up of five adults and four children, 4-9 years of age. The River House was the perfect spot for our visit. Close to Bozeman, trampoline and tree house for the children, right on the river for bug-catching, and very comfortable with two bedrooms upstairs and what our grandchildren termed the "Snow White" bedroom downstairs (five single beds). Rooms were nicely decorated and cozy, dining table seating adequate, BBQ available for use, deck, and large grassy area. We would definitely recommend the River House for families and would certainly stay there again.
