This is a great ski mountain for families, all trails lead to the base lodge where you can stop in for a hot lunch or go back to the condo to make your own. This mountain has everything you need just out your front door, ski shop, rental shop.
We love to ski and we live in New Jersey.
The Owner purchased this condo in 2005
Wanted a location that you did not have to drive to the mountain and sit in the base lodge until everyone was done skiing. When we purchased this my daughter was little and was unable to ski the whole day and sitting in the base lodge until everyone else was done just did not sound like a fun thing to me. This was perfect because you can walk right into the condo when ever you want to take a break. Now she is doing black diamonds and blue trails all day.
There are several benefits but one of them is that there is a bus that stops right outside of the building and will take you to Killington Mountain if you do not want to ski Pico Mountain. Another one is that in the morning you do not have to wait until everyone is up and ready to go skiing, there is no driving involved you can walk right outside and take a few runs.
This is my second time staying here, and I'm sure it won't be my last. We were a little disappointed that Pico wasn't open while we were here, but that has nothing to do with the room or the resort.
The condo is clean and comfortable and has all the items needed to make for an enjoyable stay.
The owner is super helpful, and easy to work with.
My husband and I rented this condo for a weekend and could not be more thrilled with being steps away from Pico Mountain. You literally wake up and can walk out to check out the slopes. The condo is no frills, perfect for the price. It faces the base lodge. The owner was easy to communicate with.
Not only did we time this one right with a giant snow storm, but the location and condo were just perfect! We live in Vermont and ski Pico every weekend, but like to stay on-site for a long weekend every year to get first chair! This one bedroom unit had a very well equipped kitchen (even with a pasta strainer, spices and measuring cups for making pancakes) comfortably slept our family of five, and was right in front of the base lodge. The beds were comfortable and we found that even for our large family, there were plenty of linens and pillows. I think the 2+ feet of fresh snow we received didn't hurt the trip either!! The owner responded promptly and was very easy to talk to. I would highly recommend this unit for a party of 6 or under looking for a ski on ski off vacation in Vermont! We love Pico!
The owner of this property is really nice! The condo was perfect for my son and I - he is 14; there are 2 futons in the living room and 2 dbl beds in the bedroom. All are very comfortable. The condo is very clean. There is wifi and cable - the TVs are older (not HD) but all works perfectly! The ski locker downstairs is great - at the end of the day just walk a short distance from the lodge, throw your skis & boards in and go upstairs and relax. My son and I both agree that from now on when we visit Pico this is where we want to stay! Everything is very easy - the owner gives you a little helpful list for when you arrive and you can contact her with any questions! It's really ideal as far as I'm concerned. You don't have to eat in the lodge...the condo is right there behind the lodge so you can eat your own food and watch some TV and relax then go back out! Think snow! Sincerely, Jean M Brookfield, CT
My son and I stayed for 3 nights leading into Easter. The Condo is very nice, and convenient to Killington when Pico wasn't open. The condo is small, but not crowded. The best part was the owner, who was VERY patient, and the people at Pico Resort. I broke my Ski boot skiing on what was probably a bit advanced for me, and Pico gave me complimentary rentals! We are now ruined for all the other resorts in the East (just came back from Holiday Valley and my son was BORED with the resort!) If your looking for 5 star accommodations this may not be your cup of tea, but the condo is clean, well stocked, and very comfortable! I hope to go back again this spring! I can not say enough good things about the owner and the resort. Pico has a little bit of everything for skiers/Boarders, and enough challenging slopes to keep an 18 year old hot dog satisfied. Killington is a VERY short drive from Pico, and is possibly some of the best skiing in the East. THANK YOU for opening your condo to us, it was the experience of a lifetime!
