|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
Our place has just been renovated and it features design furniture, art and exclusive accessories. As part of a 1906 building, we've kept the original construction elements along the whole surface, which adds lots of character. The apartment has one large living-room area with gas remote-controlled fireplace, flat television , DVD with USB port, lounging area, high bartable and entertainment center (DVDs, books, CDs, etc).
The built-in kitchen has all the appliances you need, including gas stove, oven/microwave, dishwasher, fridge, Nespresso coffeemachine and washer / dryer. The apartment has also one beautiful bathroom with shower.
SInce we are on the 4th floor, we have a the luxury of a large and private roof terrace which has a sitting area for 4 people, and it´s an ideal place for relaxed meals, weather allowing. Like all authentic Amsterdam buildings, we don't have an elevator.
Our 50 square meters apartment is ideally located at the Overtoom, one of the most known and old avenues of Amsterdam, which runs along the Vondelpark, and straight into the Leidseplein, the 'Times Square of Amsterdam. All services are at a walking distance, and tram number 1 stops right by the door, making Central Station and the airport quickly reachable.
For our youngest guests we have a travel cot, high chair, kids trolley and carseat available.
If you want to experience one of the most sought after neighbourhoods of Amsterdam, the Vondelpark area. You´ll be very close to the centre, yet in a quiet environment.
Disconnect from the world in your private 30 m2 roofterrace.
We have just come back in our house in Britanny and we would like to tell you that our stay in your apartment was perfect. We enjoyed it and also the environment with the beautiful park across the street in which I made some joggings in the evening...
We did not go to Amsterdam since 30 years and have appreciated the atmosphere of the city again. Of course, we have done a lot of museums and enjoyed particularly the Vang Gogh museum and Hermitage museum. We have also appreciate Van loon and Willet Holthuysen museums and the Frans Hals in Harlem. One all day we rented a bike in Waterland. Very, very beautiful with sun (almost the day). It is sure that in the future we will come back and we will rent a bike for several days to visit a part of your country (Which part?...)
Apparently in reading some of the books and guides in your apartment, you travel a lot (as ourselves. in the past..). We are particularly familiar with Asia as we lived in Beijin and Singapore from 1995 to 2002.
Many thanks for your loft and kind regards
My husband and I stayed here at the end of our Europe trip. We were tired of eating out before we got to Amsterdam so we wanted to stay at a place with a kitchen. If you are looking to save money on your Europe vacation, this is the way to go! Ruth and Kingi were awesome to deal with! Kingi was there when we arrived to give us the keys. The place was clean and I felt as though it was in a safe and convenient area of town. The loft was within walking distance to a grocery store, wine store, and very close to tram #1 (tram #1 can get you to and from Central Station from the loft). We used the tram quite a bit as the central part of the city was about a 20 min - 30 min walk away. There is also a car rental agency across the street if you are thinking of renting a car for the day. We liked the location of the loft as it wasn't in the busiest part of Amsterdam - so it felt quieter and safe. The only thing with this place (as I think with many places in Amsterdam) is there is no elevator - so you have to be ok with packing your luggage up 4 flights of stairs. We didn't mind the exercise! Also, it's a good opportunity to do laundry here. The loft has a washer and dryer and drying racks for those items you don't want to put in the dryer! Overall, great place to stay!
We spent 3 nights in this apartment.. It is a gem! Located in a great area of the city, it is not in a touristy area. You can take tram 1 less than 100 feet from the door if you want to go to the hustle of the city.
We would recommend trying the Vondelpark restaurant inside the park. It just opened its doors four months ago and the food was delicious!!!
We had a great time in Amsterdam and fell in love with the city. We look forward to visiting it again and to staying in Ruth's apartment.
Ps/ Ana, Ruth's assistant, was great. She had a very positive attitude and answered all our questions.
Have stayed in this apartment for two times now and will be enjoying it again this summer.
Apartment has everything you would need + the rooftop terrace.
Location is beautiful. Vondelpark is just across the street.
Bike rental close by (we have found it to be the best way to get around and see the city). Location is not far from the city centre by bike.
Good restaurants just close by. For example Abyssinia- great african food! Also Supermarket close by (Albert Heijn).
Everything with the rental process and information has been easy and convenient.
Thank you Ruth!

Very comfortable, great neighborhood, cute apartment with lovely roof terrace; small. The apartment was spotlessly clean; arrival and check-out went without a hitch. Nice neighborhood with good restaurants, tram to central station and the center just outside the front door. Highly recommended for 1-2 people.
Well maintained property with a warm customer friendly service! It's a cozy apartment with an awesome location. Many, many thanks to Ruth & Kingi for their kindness and hospitality! This is a perfect apartment for two but it accommodated my family of three very, very well! Amsterdam Properties provided accurate descriptions of their properties (we saw their larger apartments while visiting). We can't wait to visit again!
My husband and I decided to come to Amsterdam for our honeymoon and we had such a wonderful time! The place was so nice! Felt like home. It was very comfortable and the fact that we had a washer and dryer, as well as stove and dishwasher, was very convenient. The outside deck was also a plus! Ruth was so pleasant when helping us set up our stay and Kingi was so helpful and kind to us during our stay (helping us with directions, suggesting places to visit and even arranging a cab to take us to the airport when it was time to go home).
We will definitely be staying here again next time we come back!
Located on a lively large avenue, running along the central park of the city (Vondelpark). This park is the center of activity of the city during good weather times, with open-air concerts, competitions, children´s pool, etc.
Shops, supermarkets, sport clubs, bicycle rental shops, cinemas, theaters are all nearby. 10 minutes walking to Leidse square, the Times Square of Amsterdam, and Museum District. Tram number 1 stops by door, making transportation really easy to the rest of the city, Central Station and the airport.
Car rental right in front of the apartment (Hertz). Other car rental companies available on the street.
