Perfect

This is a picture postcard property from the outside but it doesn't disappoint on the inside. It feels like a home, not a holiday cottage. The central kitchen forms a convenient centre for family life with an Aga providing warmth when needed. Everything you need is there, including tourist information, and you have both a traditional English pub (try the Abbot Ale, real beer drinkers) and an open-all-hours supermarket within 100 metres. One of the staircases is a bit narrow but if you are king-sized you can still reach everywhere using the wider one.

The owner came to visit us a couple of times to ensure all was going well without intruding and advised us on good places to visit.

We rate this the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. I can't say more than that.

Inglenook Cottage

CCD Ohio USA
Review Submitted: October 3, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
We stayed at the cottage from 1 thru 18 Sep 08. It was fantastic, far better than we had thought it would be. Everything we needed was at the cottage and it was decorated very nicely. The summerhouse in the garden and the extra half bath were added bonuses. Everything we needed was within walking distance and the bus stop and station were very close too. It may not be suitable for a handicapped person (stairs) or a very tall person (low ceilings upstairs) but overall we were extremely satisfied and would recommend it wholeheartedly. I even learnt how to use an Aga cooker! (There is a regular stove for those who don't want to use the Aga.)

great cottage, nicely furnished and pretty garden

We thought this cottage was lovely. Nicely furnished and well equipped. The garden was very pretty and great for outdoor breakfast and evening bbq.

Great location within easy reach of Cambridge and also Grantchester with it's magical Orchard. There was a co-op a few minutes away by car and it is not far off the M11, so overall it was very well situated.
