Come and enjoy the relaxed and easy life of the East Fork guesthouse where fishing and swimming are just footsteps away on the Bitterroot River. This is a newly constructed two bedroom/two bathroom guesthouse built and decorated with a rustic flair. Dining and dancing are around the corner at the nearby Montana style restaurant (1/4 mile). The Naughty Moose is a restaurant and full bar with weekly music, outside fire pits, horseshoe pits and wonderful food and spirits!

The East Fork guesthouse offers an upstairs master bedroom with a queen bed and quality linens. A large closet and dresser space, vaulted ceiling and full size bath are located adjacent to the bedroom. The downstairs guest bedroom is private and cozy. It has a high quality queen bed with top notch linens and its own full size adjacent bathroom.

The upstairs houses the living room and kitchen that have an open, light and warm feel. The ceilings are vaulted, with large west facing windows and balcony with river views. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and utensils, brand new appliances and a large dining table. The living room has plenty of comfortable leather seating and a nice wood stove to keep the stay cozy. Wireless internet available via satellite wireless antenna booster. Flat screen TV and DVD in living room for movie watching. (No cable/satellite).

Other features include a garage for your motorcycles or recreational gear, a large fenced kennel in the back of the house, good space for R.V's and easy turn around, a nice large balcony with seating and a bar-b-que grill.

So if you are making a trip to the Southern Bitterroot Valley of Montana to enjoy the beauty and recreation out our front door, than we hope you 'leave your mark' at our house. (please note all the activities marked on the list are less than a 30 minute drive). We recommend stocking up on your fly fishing gear, licenses and guide service through our local store, The Bitterroot Fly Company located in Darby.

Why The Owner chose Conner

The land the guesthouse sits on has been in my family for over 36 years. My husband and I always dreamed of putting a get-away cabin on the 1.8 acres to enjoy with our children, extended family and friends. Beyond the childhood memories I cherish, we love the location. We feel we are getting away to a rural setting, yet so much to do and see is within a 30 minute drive. Lost Trail Powder Mountain, the local ski area, is only 18 miles south. There are numerous breathtaking lakes, lots of river, creeks, and national forest to explore. Shopping and dining are relatively close too.

What makes this cabin unique

The East Fork Guesthouse is a small, yet warm river retreat. The East Fork of the Bitterroot River is only 70 steps away. You can enjoy sitting on the balcony overlooking the mountains and river, watching for wildlife and sipping your coffee or wine. There is no need to get in a car and drive. The fishing experience is right out the front door.

Just a couple hundred yards away is the Naughty Moose Restaurant and Bar. This establishment offers great Montana style dining, full bar, weekly live music and great atmosphere!

Winter Weekend

Hi Elaina,
We had such a lovely stay at your tastefully designed and wonderfully situated cabin outside of Darby. Our boys, 3.5 and 1.5 loved playing trains there and loved playing in the snow even more. We feel lucky to have gotten to Chief Joseph nordic ski area twice, and visit a few Darby restaurants and shops while there. We even squeezed in some sledding around Lake Como. :)

We spent 4 nights at the guest house and enjoyed every minute to morning coffee on the deck to floating in the river in our tubes. We had four days of 90 degree weather. We fished both the East Fork and West Fork of the Bitterroot with success. We went hiking up the mountains and played kick ball in the field. The guest house is extremely cleaned and comfortable. I was impressed on how well is was equipped and decorated. Even though we had hot weather during the day the guest house would cool off in the evening. We will return in the future!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

"Had a wonderful time in the Bitterroot Valley once again. The guest house was very comfortable. And thank you for the internet service! We had lots of fun fishing both Forks and the main river. The Naughty Moose was so convenient and has excellent meals . As always, sad to leave the Valley again. We will be back!"
