A new home with a country look and unique, handcrafted details.

A beautifully designed home with antique furnishings that give the house a country feel of earlier times. The spacious open floor plan includes kitchen, dining, and living areas. Upstairs are two large bedrooms and a full bath. The many windows and skylights make the interior bright and cheerful, and the large, sunny deck overlooking the gardens wraps around to a shady covered porch with an attached outside shower and changing room. The property adjoins the Land Bank “Ramble Trail” with walking trails through the woods to the Lagoon where you may keep a boat. It is one mile to the village of Vineyard Haven with restaurants, shops, and ferry, 3/10 mile to the island bike path, and a ten minute bike ride to the nearest beach. There is wireless Internet access and clear cell phone reception.

This is a wonderful little gem on a quiet wooded street, about a mile from Vineyard Haven. It is bright and sunny and has special appeal for those who want a restful get-away on a reasonable budget. The house is eco-friendly with an inviting kitchen and a cute outdoor shower (we love that!). We find the location perfect for running or riding our bikes into town, over to the forest, and everywhere else on the island. We have rented this house 6 times, and we will be back!
