Guestbook comments from the owner

We enjoyed our 5 nights here so much. We wish we were not packing the car right now and could just stay here longer. The lodge is beautiful and very nicely furnished. The bonfire pit and hot tub were some of our very favorites. The kids favorite things were the foosball and pool table, and leaving the property one day for a zip lining trip. This setting was so relaxing and quiet, yet so close to the State Park. Thank you for calling the dog catcher for us to tell them about the sweet stray dog that wondered onto the property throughout our stay. By the time he got here, the dog wondered off again BUT came back again as we were packing to leave. The kids fell in love with the dog for the past several days so needless to say, we have one additional passenger for the ride back home. Her newly given name is Maggie per the kids! Must be fate as we were planning on getting a family pet. The kids are THRILLED to add Maggie to our family!

Cozy Cabin

  • 5 of 5

Going to Hocking Hills is like a home away from home. Every time my family and I are there I feel like it bring us closer together and fake being closer to nature. We are truly city folk but the cabin is a way for us to be in nature and have the comforts of home. If we choose to be adventurous we are close enough to ash caves and old man caves that we can go for a hike, ride bikes, walk a trail or just look at the beautiful foliage. Sometimes it's nice to just take a moment and reflect on all the beauty that God has made and this is a perfect place to do it! Even if we never left the cabin the windows allow a panoramic view of the hills around you. I was able to watch the sun rise and set while drinking a cup of coffee and my word in my lap, basking in the ambiance! My mother who is disabled was able to enjoy the weekend and nature with us thanks to the cabin being handicapped accessible. It was an all around fantastic time and I look forward to do it again.

Loving Lodge living!!

  • 5 of 5

Our family decided that this year we would have our thanksgiving early and do it in class! We rented the cabin in hocking Hills so that it would be a grand experience. Even though we have been to this cabin before, upon entering we were still taken back by it's beauty. The children began to re-explore everything the house had to offer and played with every item their hands could touch. When the cooking began there was plenty of room for all with the spacious full kitchen upstairs and the kitchenette downstairs. My grandmother who has happened upon some hard times causing her to be in a wheelchair, came with us. Seeing the excitement and joy on her face at just being there was more than enough to make the trip worth while. Thanks to the elevator she was able to enjoy the festivities on either floor and not feel excluded. Some of the family decided to go for a hike in the near by Ash caves to enjoy the weather and beautiful scenery. Those that didn't want to hike were able to relax in the hot tub or watch one of the TV's( Or have it watch them as the dozed). At one point a family of deer's came close to the house and allowed us to take picture's before they leapt away into the woods. In the cool evening there was a fire pit available to enjoy nature, be warm and have gooey smore's. Once again this was an all around enjoyable time!

Great getaway with friends!

  • 5 of 5

This is one of the most enjoyable places in Ohio by far. The scenery is beautiful and it matches the perfectly maintained lodge. There is so much to do on and off the property. The All Seasons Lodge is located just a few miles from Ash Cave, which is a must see! In the evenings, the lodge was a prime place to be. There were plenty of games, huge TV's, a large hot tub, and a beautiful fire pit. The gazebo was also a nice place to hang out and enjoy the property while staying out of the sun. There are 30 acres of land, which provides a great amount of seclusion. Listening to all the nature sounds such as the bullfrogs out by the pond were also enjoyable. There is plenty of seating all throughout the house, which would accommodate for a large group of people. The lodge is disability friendly with a walk-in shower on the first floor and an elevator to take people up and down between the two floors. The walk out lower level is immaculate. We had 8 people in our group and the house still felt large and each person still had enough space to themselves. We really enjoyed this stay and would love to have the opportunity to return to the All Seasons Lodge in the future. I would recommend staying at this property to anyone that I know. Thanks for everything!!

Breathtaking Lodge!!!

  • 5 of 5

Upon arrival to this property my family and friends were in total awe at the beauty and location of this lodge. The serene location and extremely close proximity to Ash Cave is unreal. When we walked into the lodge it was seriously breathtaking. It was decorated nicely for the fall season and also smelled like fall. The small details put into the floors and wall decor is unbelievable. It was extremely clean and well kept and the pictures on-line do not do its justice! There is so much to do in Hocking Hills sight seeing and exploring wise. However, I did not have to leave this lodge to have a relaxing vacation. There is so much to do from a large hot tub, 2 fireplaces, game room (so much fun spent there), a fire pit and a gazebo. I stayed in the Master Bedroom where there was a private bathroom. The bathroom had a Jacuzzi tub that I relaxed in at night, while reading one of the many books available on the property. I LOVED that this property has a reverse osmosis system so we did not have to deal with well water while showering, etc. Our family and friends enjoyed a fun filled relaxing weekend in a secluded location where we watched the fall foliage on the deck, around the fire pit, in the hot tub and from outside the windows. We cooked out one night and the two grills were very convenient. We all sat around the large dining room table that had a beautiful fall tablecloth, while looking at the fall decorations and plants around the common areas. We also watched the OSU game in the downstairs entertainment area while we played pool. We only left the lodge once to go canoeing and even then it was very hard to leave and we could not wait to get back. The morning came to check out and none of us wanted to leave. We made so many unforgettable memories at the lodge that I will never forget. I have stayed in Hocking Hills several times but this location and property takes the cake! I have been spoiled forever and will always return to this property in the future. I would recommend this property to EVERYONE! The owner was a pleasure to speak with and I have no complaints at all and either did anyone in our group. I LOVE the fact this lodge is ADA accessible! I work with individuals with disabilities and this is a perfect lodge for vacation for individuals living with disabilities! It even has an elevator to get to the bottom fun area!! SO AWESOME! This by far was the most relaxing vacation I've experienced thus far!

Girls' birthday getaway

  • 5 of 5

I and 3 of my friends stayed here for the weekend. I graduated from Hocking but hadn't been back to the area for a few years. I loved how close this property was to everything and that it was nature/environmentally friendly (although no designated spot to put any recyclable materials, just a compost pot near the kitchen sink). We had 3 deer by the pond our first morning there and turkeys the second morning. The giant jetted bathtub in the master bedroom was phenomenal and gave me a quick power nap before continuing on our hikes. We had some problems finding batteries for all the remote controls, so we just used the upstairs' DirecTv remote for the downstairs tv as well. Played pool, used the hot tub, watched both TVs, sat out in the screened-in gazebo while we went through some area flyers and planned our trip out. I hope anyone that stays here has a good of a time as we did. I highly recommend using the utility drive as opposed to the first drive you come to near the dumpster. I was driving my Jeep and still had some trouble making it up the first drive since parts of it have been washed out and leave quite a drop off if you accidentally come off the driveway too far. On our way out, we had noticed a car with a lady, man, and child in it driving towards the house (they had to back down the utility drive so we could get out). Not sure if this was the cleaning staff showing up, but it was around 10:30 and check-out time was 11am. Like I said, I'm not sure if it was the staff or just random people driving up to the house to check it out.

Thanks again for a wonderful stay and memories to go with it!

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for lodging at our property. As far as the TV remote batteries, we put brand new batteries in every remote throughout the house two times annually. At times unknown to us, previous guests occasionally take the batteries out of some remotes and use them for toys they bring with them, then forget to put them back before they check out. Our apologies as we noticed this had happened and swiftly replaced them the day of your departure. Sorry we didn't notice one of the remotes was missing batteries the day of your arrival, as we would have been glad to come out and replace them for you if we would have been contacted. Since our home is so close to the Hocking Hills Resort (next driveway from ours), we have noticed we get occasional lost guests drive in and then out of our vacation home driveway or utility road. I assume that must be who approached the grounds then left, especially since you mentioned a baby/child in car. Our written stay confirmations guests receive do suggest all guests use our utility right of way vs the steep driveway. We agree the utility right of way is much easier to access, and nearly flat to our hilltop vacation home. We are glad you and girlfriends enjoyed your time at our property, and one of the ladies reserved a stay to come back this Christmas season. Sincerely, Darla

Great Place for a Weekend Vacation

  • 5 of 5

The property and house are outstanding. The house has four bedrooms, including one with double bunk beds that was great for all of the kids to stay in. We had eleven total people in out party and the spacious house was easily able to accommodate all of us. Highlights of the house include the large / modern kitchen; the great downstairs room with pool table, foosball and giant TV; the decks overlooking the beautiful property and finally the fire pit area by the pond. The owners were very friendly, helpful and easy to work with. We would highly recommend this place to families or couples looking for a great place to stay in the Hocking Hills area.
