York Beach House Rental Photos and Description
House, 5 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2.5+ Baths, (Sleeps 10-12)
This ageless Victorian home is located at York Beach, very close to the beach area. Its uniqueness is in the design of old New England 1860. The house has four bays of windows to enjoy the salty ocean breezes. It faces south and the flowers throughout the property grow magnificently. It has a distinct look of 'gingerbread' trim, a center staircase, and a privacy hedge of Canadian Hemlocks that gives shade on a hot day to the patio in the rear of the property. Enjoy the beautiful gardens as you sit on the side porch or while sitting in the shade of one of the trees on a warm summer day. The enchanted Victorian oasis of tranquility is set in a seaside village.
Come see the Nubble Lighthouse located in York. You are drawn to its majestic view. It is photographed closed to a million times a year. There is always something to do for people of all ages.
York Village is very quaint with many Historical Homes and one of the Oldest Jails (1617) in the US. Many of the buildings are open for tours during the season as vacationers enjoy going back in time to days of old to hear York's colorful history of early settlers and native Americans in the early 1600s. The area has so much rich history that folks take numerous photos for their vacation memories and enjoy later when they are home.

We had another great vacation staying at your house. We want to return next season and are making a decision to stay for 2 weeks in July. Will contact you with more4 information.
I chose to move to York as I am very interested in antiques, historical homes, walking the beaches (Short Sands & Long Beach), and a small friendly community that was different from where I lived in the city.
I love to garden so I spend much time in the yard. I enjoy talking to many people as they stroll on a summer day on their way to the post office to mail postcards to friends/relatives. We chat about the flowers, weather, dogs, etc. Life in York has slowed me down so I can 'smell the roses'!
