You will feel right at home here with 1600 sq ft of spacious living quarters. Located in a quiet retirement community, we call our home Annie's Oasis. The winter and spring seasons bring near perfect temperatures, beautiful wild flowers and fresh citrus. Borrego Springs is 90 minutes from Palm Springs and 2 hrs from San Diego. It is located in the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park which is home to the Peninsula Big Horn Sheep. A hike at the Palm Canyon Trail nearby might get you up close and personal with one of these magnificent animals.

Our home is fully furnished, has full kitchen facilities including all eating and cooking utensils, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. Washer and dryer are located off the side entrance.

There is an 18 hole, par three golf course at the end of the block. In the newest section, there is a championship length 9 hole golf course. Both golf venues are surrounded by beautiful mountain vistas. You can walk a short distance to the community recreation center with tennis courts, a heated swimming pool and hot tub. There is a common grass area behind the home that I like to use for an occasional stroll.

Since Borrego Springs is close enough to a myriad of tourist destinations, the home is the perfect 'base of operations' if you want a busy vacation. But, you can just relax and stay at Annie's Oasis and unwind.

About The Owner

My sister relocated to Southern California in the 80's. She found Borrego Springs as a wonderful retreat from the hubbub of the city and fell in love with it. Our property was originally owned by my parents. I persuaded dad to sell us the property so that the whole family could visit the desert. We then decided to use the property for rental since we aren't able just yet to visit as often as we would like. So, our loss is your gain. This desert getaway can either be your base to tour Southern California or a nice, quiet place just to relax. We love the desert and discover new and exciting aspects of it every time we get the opportunity to get out to Borrego Springs. On our most recent visit, we discovered a large collection of desert sculptures that depict desert animal inhabitants from centuries gone by. What a pleasant surprise to find these along the ride into Borrego Springs. You won't want to miss them. There is an incredible array of activities and attractions within a two hour drive. But, staying put in the quiet of our 'Annie's Oasis' could be just what the doctor ordered for you. Please come stay!

Why The Owner chose Borrego Springs

You are 30 miles from Historic Julian, a California Goldrush community. Julian is famous for Apple Pies and four mild seasons. Borrego Springs is approximately 2 hrs from San Diego's Lindbergh Field. San Diego attractions include: the World Famous San Diego Zoo in Balboa Park, the San Diego Zoo Wild Animal Park in suburban Escondido, Sea World, Legoland, the Gaslamp District in Downtown San Diego, and much, much more. You are also about two hours from Disneyland in Anaheim, Ca. The sightseeing possibilities are nearly limitless.

What makes this house unique

We really feel at home at Annie's Oasis in Borrego Springs even though we are Midwesterners. Our home is very comfortable and spacious. There is a screened in porch attached to our home that is the perfect place to relax and drink your morning cup of coffee. If you are up early enough, the sunrises are magnificent. You are a very short walk from the community center which features an outdoor heated pool and hot tub with shower facilities. We particularly enjoy a swim after dark for relaxation and star gazing. If you come from the city, you won't believe that the sky had so many stars! The first tee on the par three course within this gated community is right next to the community center.

Borrego Springs is a quiet town in the desert - just perfect for those who enjoy golf, hiking and the desert nature. While the house is worn, it was comfortable and only a short walk to the salt water swimming pool.
