Christmas at Reflections Lodge

Wow!!..what a wonderful place and such accommodating management! We spent the Christmas holidays at Reflections Lodge. It was a perfect place for all of our family members to gather together for such a special time of the year. The lodge had more than ample room and so many things to do! We played ping pong, pool, and basketball...fished in the pond...walked the trails...spent time in the hot tub and had campfires along with delicious meals that were cooked in the very well equipped kitchen. The lodge management even allowed us to cut down our very own Christmas tree from their 100 acre property! If you are looking for a place to have a family gathering or a large get together, this is the perfect place. (Donna- Thank you so much for helping to make sure my family's Christmas together was a wonderful one! I so appreciated your prompt email responses and for going over and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful time together. I wish you and your family a happy new year!)

We had a wonderful time at Reflection lodge. The only thing that went wrong was that it rained on the wedding day. The lodge is so spacious and beautiful that we were able to go to plan B and moved the guests inside. Our daughter's wedding was beautiful.

Thank you,
Teresa Falllwell

Exceeded Expectations

Our stay at the Reflections Lodge in May was great, we had a large group of 16 from all over the country convene for a weekend away from big city life. Donna, who manages the property, was great and professional throughout the whole process; she promptly addressed all of my questions and issues and was a pleasure to work with. The whole process was seamless.

The Lodge itself was even better than the pictures, it is huge and spacious and very well kept. There was so much to do on the grounds, we enjoyed walking the property, playing basketball, volleyball, and even frisbee golf. We didn't even scratch the surface of available activities.

The kitchen was also great, it had every imaginable utensil and appliance and ample plates, etc, for cooking on a large scale, not to mention two huge grills which got good use.

With Donna's directions it was easy to find and not too isolated, so trips out to Bastrop or Elgin for food and other supplies were easy.

Overall if you are looking for a a place to gather a large group for some off-the-path rest and relaxation or some outdoor activities, in this the place!

Owner's Response: Thanks, Nick, for the shining review! I'm so glad that the Lodge exceeded your expectations. It's quite a challenge to capture just how grand the place really is in a few photos. And I'm also glad that ya'll got to get out enjoy the great outdoors and some of the wonderful recreational opportunities that this unique property has to offer.

We spent a week at Reflections Lodge in late April, 2011. The house was even better than we expected! Very well maintained, had everything we needed (and more!), and was absolutely perfect for our family reunion! Donna was so great to work with too!

Our favorite activities while at the house were our daily volleyball games and fishing. We were lucky enough to see an armadillo across the pond too!

Thank you so much for a wonderful, much needed retreat! We had a great time and would HIGHLY recommend your beautiful Lodge!

Owner's Response: I'm so glad the Lodge exceeded your expectations - we get that a lot. Also glad to hear that ya'll enjoyed the sand volleyball court and fishing - those are great activities for a big group. And it's always good to hear about wildlife sightings in the area - it means that the property has some healthy habitat areas. Thank you so much for taking the time to post such a nice review!

Our Wedding and Reception on October 30th

We can't say enough about how great Reflections Lodge is. It was the perfect venue for our Wedding and Reception. It is quite possibly the most beautiful place we could have had it, everything went well and we had plenty of room for the outdoor cerimony in the front of the Lodge, we had set up 16 tables with chairs for seating our guests for the meal with no problem and they all had a view of the pond and sunset. We then had the DJ set up on the upstairs balcony/deck for dancing. This is the most relaxing place and all of our guests where very impressed with the Venue we had chosen. We will definately be back many times for weekends of just relaxing and spending time with family and friends. In short this place is Amazing.
