The Master bedroom has a large Jacuzzi tub, fireplace and a private balcony overlooking the harbor. The main floor has an open upscale kitchen, dining, living and green room all walled with windows along with a spacious, handicap friendly bedroom and bath. The ground floor has two large bedrooms each with separate entrances and separate bathrooms perfect for the privacy that may be desired.

Whidbey Island is just over an hour from Seattle but holds enough activities and island life to keep you entertained for weeks. Deception Pass is a must see with breathtaking views of rugged cliffs and the turbulent waters that surround Whidbey Island. We purchased this property over 30 years ago; developed it ourselves and raised our children here. We built our new home in 1997, just before moving overseas. This property is so peaceful and relaxing. We have no better vacation destination than returning home to the property we love.

We decided to start Harbor Hideaway because we can schedule our own time at our home and it is ready for our arrival. We enjoy the opportunity to share our home and show-off the wonderful lifestyle we have created. The perfect vacation for us is being at Harbor Hideaway, sharing with our friends and family.
My best time is getting up early, sitting on the porch with the morning brew in my hand, watching the sun rise and the wild life starting their day. There is nothing more enjoyable than the peace and serenity as you view deer, raccoons, rabbits, eagles, seals and even the occasional whale. I have no doubts that I will be greeted in the morning, by one or more of the many animals nature has created. I will always see something to remind me why I love this property so much.
We enjoyed a great weekend in John's house. The house is well designed, the ground perfect for kids to have fun and being able to access directly the beach is awesome. We'll be back!
Our group chose this property for a long weekend work-retreat, and we could not have found a better one. The house is beautifully appointed, the kitchen is fully stocked and perfectly functional, and everything is comfortable and welcoming. The grounds are immaculately landscaped, and the outlook over Holmes Harbor is sweeping. It's a lot of fun taking the stairs down to the beach. Definitely a great value!
We had a delightful week at the Harbor Hideaway celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary with our family. Our stay was at the end of August, and the weather was absolutely lovely. There was plenty of room, and the kitchen and other areas are so well stocked. I especially liked the layout of the home and the large size of the rooms. We all appreciated the various outdoor sitting areas – We could enjoy a different one every day and still have some remaining . . . My husband called his favorite sitting area “Grandpa’s perch” (the one that looks out over the harbor), and our granddaughter loved her “dance palace” (the gazebo)! The landscaping is very lovely, and we spotted lots of deer roaming through the back yard, and the birds (& birdhouses) were so much fun! We would gladly choose this home again, and we appreciated the smooth administration of the property/paperwork.
We wanted to stay near Langley for our daughter's wedding, and could not have chosen a nicer place to stay! We had lots of family from out of town staying with us in the house, and everyone was comfortable, there was plenty of space for sleeping and enough bathrooms, for once! The home is nicely furnished, and we all felt as if we were staying in a friends home versus a rental home. The property is exquisite! Thank you for providing such a lovely and memorable place to stay. We will be back!
Harbor Hideaway is a spacious and clean home with water views from almost every room. The decks, private park-like grounds and path to the beach made for a wonderful outdoor experience. Pet friendly, prompt attention to our needs and convenience to nearby activities made for a great stay. We would definitely return.
I stayed in Harbor Hideaway with 3 other families and we had a wonderful time. The views and the setting of the house are incredible. We loved going down to the beach with the kids and playing in the water. We also had a great time sitting out by the fire pit and watching the sunset. The house was spacious and was fully stocked with everything you would need. John, the owner, was very attentive, as was the property manager. We are excited to plan a return trip!
