MODERN ZEN STYLE VILLA ON THE PACIFIC COAST OF COSTA RICA

Upon entering the Zen Villa I was immediately relaxed and ready for vacation. Everything was so white and clean. A few friends and I shared the house for a week. Each bedroom has a private bathroom and a gorgeous shower. The master bedroom has a beautiful huge tub with an incredible view of the coast. The big kitchen was great for group or family dinners-- we really enjoyed cooking together. The house is very private and set high in the mountains, making for a GREAT view of the sunset every night, a view of the coast, all while enjoying the feel of being in the mountains. There's another outside patio area on the 2nd floor that is fit for a king. Again, the views are incredible and it's nice to have a 2nd option sitting area when the group wanted to split up, relax, and have some alone time. The pool was very clean and extremely refreshing, either in the morning or after a day of surfing at the beach. There are 2 super markets very close to the house, a nice bank, and a really great pharmacy just down the road with an English speaking pharmacist. At the top of the mountain there is a nice, small resort with a great restaurant and bar if you're looking for a quick change of scenery. Lots to do close to the house, beautiful beaches to choose from, laundry in the house... you can't beat it! I would HIGHLY recommend the Zen Villa CR!

The views and modern style of this home was outstanding. Uvita is the perfect destination for a peaceful and epically beautiful holiday in Costa Rica. This was our second visit to the area and first stay at the Zen Villa. The house is in pretty good shape with modern amenities and simple modern style that is pleasing and comfortable. The pool deck is large with direct sun and an amazing view of the Pacific Ocean and Whales Tale. The sun sets directly over the ocean landscape and is very special to see. The only reason for the four and not five stars is that the pool is a bit narrow and many tiles are starting to fall off; a few light bulbs were out and not repaired as indicated; the refrigerator doesn't close well and ices up a lot; and the home site is in a development area that is clear cut more than what we would have preferred (missing that jungle feel) with several unfinished homes around us which is an eye sore. The condos in front of us had landscape blowers out in the morning and afternoon 3-4 times during our 14 day stay which was unpleasant. We did not have a greeter when we arrived which made the orientation to the home a bit slower. But we loved our stay, enjoyed the house, and the view is five stars all the way. Would recommend.
