Indulge yourself! Stay in a newly refurbished condo (new furniture and sofa in Nov 2013) in one of the best kept complexes in Kona.

We are delighted and very proud to offer a very clean, beautifully decorated and well equipped condo located in a property where the grounds are maintained to an exceptional standard. In a non smoking environment we emphasize cleanliness - where else can you be assured of a FRESHLY WASHED BED COMFORTER when you arrive? We are owners who are determined to do all we can to ensure that you have a safe, restful and memorable holiday. And we know our pricing is well below Kona averages for similar quality accommodation.

After a decade of owning a Hawaiian condo rental property, we purchased this second unit at a very good price. Because that price was so reasonable we decided it appropriate to do all we could to make the unit special and offer it at rates below other units of this high quality. We recognize that these are hard economic times and so choose to take this approach because we feel it is best to fill our condo with happy guests who will appreciate just how special Kona Isle is. We are pretty confident that will be the case – our first condo in the same boutique complex had an 92% occupancy rate last year with many of our guests returning for a fourth and fifth time, some for as many as FOURTEEN times! Our small (74 unit) complex caters to those who would like to enjoy serenity, a sparkling clean HEATED pool to swim in, beach side sunset dining using BBQs that are cleaned daily, awesome sunsets and yet close to the heart of the Kona vacation experience. I emphasize heated because it is important: most pools go unused in Hawaii. From our experience many visitors tour most of the day and tend to enjoy a relaxing swim in the early evening hours. There is nothing like the experience of lying back in a heated pool and looking up at the moon through palm trees! That is tranquility!

We are proud of how we have refurbished this unit. It is designed to make you feel that you are in Hawaii! The dishes were chosen because they match the decor, the artwork is truly Hawaiian and it matches the new furniture, the bed is really comfortable, there is a new flat screen TV, and best of all; we have the same cleaning staff that we have worked with before and so we know that the unit will be VERY CLEAN - that is so very important to us!

We listen very carefully to our guests and make changes and improvements on our twice a year visit. We have it professionally painted every year, in 2013 we updated the furniture in the living room, replaced the TV with a state of art unit, did our annual towel and linen replacement, did our semi annual deep cleaning ... and much more. You are important to us... we are doing all we can to make your vacation a very special one.

Using the lessons we have learned we focused on making the unit feel like home, not like some sterile hotel room without any character. Bright Hawaiian colors and all a guest might need for a great vacation: two coolers for that beach picnic, quality (Tommy Bahama) beach chairs, snorkel gear and some great Hawaiian CDs to enjoy while you are browsing through the many Hawaiian reference books, planning the next day's experiences. We make sure there is a really comfortable bed for a good night's sleep and a Brita water filter system so your coffee in the morning will be as good as it should be! In addition we make sure that there are most of the basic staples: saran wrap, tin foil, spices, olive oil, vinegar, candles, first aid kits and a fire extinguisher, laundry and dish soap are all there for you - how nice it is to save a lot of money because the basics are all there!!

Just added: FREE LONG DISTANCE CALLING to Canada and the US as well as secure wireless connectivity in the condo.

We take great pride in our unit. With 12 years experience of owning a condo in Hawaii, we believe we have found the perfect combination of all that Hawaii has to offer. It is important to us to provide a very clean, quiet, on-the-ocean holiday experience.

One last point, while some rent the same sized unit allowing 4 guests, we do not. We want you to really enjoy your stay and not be in cramped quarters, so in the fall of 2013 we replaced the pull out sofa with a more comfortable one that does not make into a bed. We do however include a fully equipped Pack 'n Play for any younger guest!

Aloha!

We fell in love with Hawaii in the 1990's, when Delana worked part time nursing on Kauai. With vacation rentals so very expensive we felt forced to buy a little condo. It proved to be a wonderful decision! In 2005 we decided that Kona would be a better place for us: it has the least rainfall in the state. During our November 2009 visit (an annual trip to do all the upkeep we do to make our unit special) we purchased a second unit because the prices were so low, We worked hard and refurbished it in a Hawaiian decor that we are certain people will enjoy.

Why The Owner chose Kailua Kona

Kona boasts the least rainfall in the state! There is so much to see and do: from volcanoes to lava heated pools. You can circumnavigate the Island in just over 4 hours including a picnic on a beach near Hilo, the midway point! The Big Island has it all and the true Aloha spirit prevails.

What makes this condo unique

Because Kona Isle is a small 'boutique' 74 unit development with only one bedroom units, neither the pool or BBQ areas are crowded. The BBQ and pool are situated beside the water rather than between the buildings. The result: it is particularly appealing to those who want a quiet and restful holiday. A nightly feature is to BBQ (so close to the water that sometimes you can feel the spray) and then enjoy dining RIGHT AT THE WATER'S EDGE!

A little piece of heaven

I have stayed at Kona Isle 6 times since 2000. This is a wonderful location (only about 1.5 miles from Kona)and the property is beautifully kept and very clean. There is a great swimming pool, a very friendly library, gas grills and a terrific area near the water with both sun and palm tree shade for reading. You are likely to see both whales and spinner dolphins. Each unit has it's own parking space so you never have to search for a place to park. This unit if FULLY furnished with EVERYTHING you could possible need to have a great vacation. NOTHING has been left out from the comfortable queen bed to the flatscreen TV and wifi. There are things for the beach, things for those who like to fish, a very complete kitchen for cooking, a washer and drier, a nice lani and information for those who like to explore or eat out. There is NOTHING I would change about this place except how often I can come! It is truely a little piece of heaven. You will not be disappointed if you stay in this unit.

Yet another marvellous stay.

Sadly we have come to the end of another wonderful, relaxing and at times exciting vacation. This is our third stay in this unit so needless to say we are great fans of the unit, Kona Isle and just as importantly of Rod and Delana.

Rod makes everything so easy. He communicates personally with his guests in all matters except the administrative side which is professionally handled by Sunquest. Rod does not take your money and then forget about you.

Within a few days of arriving Rod will call to check that everything is working well and that you are happy. A small point but shows that he is genuinely concerned that his guests have the best possible experience. There is no better evidence of this than the way he has maintained and equipped the unit. It is not fancy but is immaculately clean, maintained and is equipped for everything you could possibly and reasonably require. He has boogie boards, snorkel gear, towels, beach mats and chairs for days at the beach. He has dining wear, table cloth, coolers and basket for barbecues or picnics. The unit lacks nothing I can think of. I think the best comment I can make is that the unit feels like home.

The unit has an air conditioner but is cool so in our month there we never once used the air con. Being situated on the ground floor you do not have to navigate stairs with luggage or groceries and can simply walk out onto the lanai and into the beautiful grounds.

Before we discovered the Kona Isle we had stayed in other condos but found, as have many others have , that the Kona Isle really is the best for middle of the road travellers. It is not fancy. No spas , tennis courts etc but it has a wonderful location on the seafront, a solar heated pool and immaculate grounds which are a credit to the site manager. We spent many an hour at the condo beach watching the waves, looking for whales or dolphins and relaxing. The condo also has a number of gas barbecues for the use of the guests.

We have already booked our stay for next year which really suns up our feelings about this rental unit and its owners.

After renting from this owner 3 times I would highly recommend this spotlessly clean, well equipped condo. Everything you could wish for and more is supplied and once again the support and service from both owner and property management is beyond reproach. The location is perfect for those who want to walk to restaurants, the market; and relatively close to a beaches and snorkeling.

Complete Package!

We arrived to find a great condo, very clean and stocked to meet all our needs for eating, sleeping, playing and plain relaxing. We went to the beach area every morning with our coffee, then every afternoon with our wine and dinner, which was cooked there at the barbeques most nights. The condo is in a good area for going to the farmers market, and resturants in town. There were many nice beaches close and we did use all the toys at the condo. We would highly recommend this property.

Everything we had hoped for and much more!

We are getting on in years and wanted to have a very special first visit to the Big Island. We wanted a safe, clean, easily accessible, well equipped and quiet condo in a beautiful setting. Rod and Delana exceeded our every need. Meticulously clean and so well equipped, they have thought of everything. What was so nice: the pantry has so many of the basics that you need but do not want to buy for a holiday stay. So there are spices, laundry soaps, saran wrap, cooking oils (three kinds!), vinegar, bbq sauce, and so much more. To save money we eat many meals at the condo – wow, there was a picnic basket and all that we needed to dine in style at the beautiful beachfront. They have equipped the unit with such care – beautiful matching sets of utensils and flatware. This is not a rental condo, it is a home away from home. And it is clean, clean! Thank you so much for taking such good care of us, we needed help and you gave us the personalized service that made our trip to very special. We are so very grateful. David and Marie, Victoria, BC
